Unquestionably most of the trekkers in the world desire to trek to Everest Base Camp once in a lifetime. It is famous for its diverse snowcapped peaks and the welcoming and friendliness of local people. Trekking is possible in this area the whole year round but spring (March-May) and autumn (Sept –Nov) seasons offer the best weather for the trip. Mid spring is a good time to see the hedgerows and trees bursting into blooming Rhododendrons in particular, adding a spectacular splash of color to the landscape. A slow ascent through wonderful Sherpa villages allows us time to enjoy the wildlife panorama, visit a number of Tibetan Buddhist monasteries and take photos of prayer walls and scenic mountain views. Our trek culminates with a fine opportunity to trek from Lukla to Everest Base Camp at an elevation of 5380m, and the nearby peak of Kala Pattar/5545m for fantastic views of Mount Everest and many other 8000m -6500m snowcapped peaks. This region also has Gokyo Lake and 3 high passes.

The only guide you need in Nepal!!
This trip was one of the greatest experiences of my life, and that's largely thanks to Jit, the most excellent and knowledgeable guide I could have asked for. He took care of me every step of the way. He knew when I needed to rest and when I could push myself, and he got that balance exactly right. I'm quite fit, but I'd never dealt with altitude before, so having someone who could read me that well made all the difference. Jit seems to know everybody, and everyone likes him. He has friends everywhere we went, and I always felt in safe hands. I booked with Alpwander at the very last minute, and they were incredibly helpful in making it all happen. If I did this again, I wouldn't want any other guide. Book with them and ask for Jit. You'd be silly not to! Thank you, Jit, for giving me this experience.

Amazing EBC trek with my guide Jit
Had an amazing experience during my EBC three passes trek. Had an amazing guide Jit. Everything was well fixed en the operator stayed in contact during the trek to make sure the experience is good. Even last minute changes for flights to Lukla were good and fast fixed. The guide was really good and would recommend Jit for a good experience during the EBC trek.

Im Prinzip gut, aber wer mehr genießen und schauen will, sollte eventuall mehr Tage buchen.
Our guide Babu was great and very experienced. Very patient and caring. I felt in good hands because I was not the quickest walker and had to do many stops to take photographs or just stand and wonder about the stunning nature. So much to look at! And I enjoyed that he did all the planning concerning accomodation and meals. Quite a good concept. And the porter was very reliable as well. The only thing I could probably complain about was that the trek itself, which was booked for 13 days, lasted only twelve days, and after having crossed the summit, I was a little disappointed, that after just another day walking downwards the trek should have come to an end so abruptively and we were Kathmandu-bound by jeep and bus. Pity.

Awesome trekking in Everest Base camp
"It was a charming trip... full of many challenges and adventures, an unforgettable experience. Of course, we were always helped by our excellent guide Kumar and the porter Cashi—without them, it would have been impossible. I highly recommend asking for them... they were always attentive to every detail. The landscapes, the food, and every hike made this expedition truly special. Thanks to Alpwander for their support, and also to Pranita in the office, who was very attentive and always there for any questions or doubts... I highly recommend them!"

Great company !
DB and Prem were the most amazing guides and porters. Always kept the vibes high and us safe. For first time hikers they made the trip very achievable and made sure we were at the right pace to get to the end. When I got altitude sickness they made sure I was well taken care of and safe to remain at that altitude. Couldn’t recommend this company more for first time or experienced hikers !! Good price and better people !!

Why this scores 73
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
13-Day Private Trekking Experience in Everest Base Camp: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kathmandu.
How much does 13-Day Private Trekking Experience in Everest Base Camp cost?
+
Prices start at $1,350 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kathmandu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 13-Day Private Trekking Experience in Everest Base Camp take?
+
Plan for about 312 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kathmandu is not rushed.
Is 13-Day Private Trekking Experience in Everest Base Camp worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 33 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Kathmandu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 13-Day Private Trekking Experience in Everest Base Camp?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is 13-Day Private Trekking Experience in Everest Base Camp suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 312-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 13-Day Private Trekking Experience in Everest Base Camp?
+
Around 12 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kathmandu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kathmandu and add a light layer if any part of the 312-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 13-Day Private Trekking Experience in Everest Base Camp start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kathmandu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Kathmandu?
+
On Outty we rank every Kathmandu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Kathmandu Sightseeing | UNESCO World Heritage sites Private/Group, Manaslu Circuit Trek, Manaslu Circuit Trek: Private Group & Discounte Price. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kathmandu?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kathmandu?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
