Highly recommend
Our second time in Nepal and our second time using Shiva and Nepal Lion Tours & Treks. This time we did the Three Passes and Shiva was fantastic at sorting our change in flights from Lukla when needed. We look forward to using his company again the next time we visit.

Everest Base Camp Trek
I had the opportunity to take part in an Everest Base Camp trek organized by Nepal Lion Tours and Treks Pvt. Ltd., and I can confidently say it was one of the best experiences of my life. The care and support provided by the company at every stage of the trip truly stood out. From the very first contact, everything was handled smoothly and professionally—I received detailed information about preparation, equipment, and the trek itself. The team showed great flexibility and a personalized approach, which was extremely helpful. The guide was absolutely fantastic—experienced, responsible, and highly dedicated. He took great care of the group’s safety, managed the pace היט היט היט of the trek, and supported us with acclimatization. He also shared interesting insights about the region, Nepalese culture, and the mountains, which added great value to the entire journey. The trekking plan was very well thought out. Each day was carefully organized, with the right balance between hiking, rest, and acclimatization. This allowed us to avoid health issues and fully enjoy the experience. The route was designed to make the most of this incredible destination. Communication with the company—both before departure and during the trek—was excellent. They responded quickly, provided full support, and gave us confidence that we could rely on them in any situation. In summary, Nepal Lion Tours and Treks Pvt. Ltd. is a professional and trustworthy company that delivers excellent organization, safety, and unforgettable experiences. I highly recommend them to anyone dreaming of trekking in the Himalayas.

Base Camp Trek
🌟 Everest Base Camp Trek – Nepal is Safe to Travel 🌟 We (three friends) had an absolutely unforgettable journey to Mount Everest Base Camp with Nepal Lion Tours and Treks. Everything was seamlessly arranged from start to finish – from the airport pick-up to our final evening in Kathmandu. The company even provided us with excellent health monitoring devices, which gave us extra confidence and supported our vital functions throughout the trek. We booked directly through the official Nepal Lion Tours and Treks website, which offered the best price with clear and reliable terms and conditions. Our guide Binod was not only highly skilled and knowledgeable, but also warm, caring, and attentive. He shared fascinating stories about the culture, the people, and the Himalayas, and always made sure we felt safe and comfortable. We also want to highlight that Nepal is a very safe country to visit right now. The porter team was wonderful – always cheerful, supportive, and hardworking. What impressed us most was the personalized care: our requests were handled with flexibility, breaks were adjusted to our pace, and we never felt like “just another group.” We can wholeheartedly recommend Nepal Lion Tours and Treks to anyone planning a trekking adventure in Nepal. Thank you for giving us such a unique experience – we will definitely be back! 🙏❤️

A well organized and safe adventure
We (3 friends) have made the Everest Base Trek. Due to bad weather, we drove the jeep on the way out instead of by plane. The organization was taken care of very well, it was a real adventure. Our guide Binod was always with us and took care of everything: Food, drink, accommodation, transfer. He always assessed the weather very well, so we were always on the road with the best weather at the times of day. At Basecamp we were even all alone in bright sunshine. On the way back we hurried a bit at our request because we wanted one more day in Kathmandu. The guide and porters have supported our plan very well. In the end we are in 48h from the base camp back to the airport to Lukla, where we also got a flight reactively due to our guide Binod. We landed in Kathmandu safely, happily and with unforgettable experiences and pictures. Thank you!

12 Days Everest Base Camp Trek with Kalapatthar Summit: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kathmandu.
How much does 12 Days Everest Base Camp Trek with Kalapatthar Summit cost?
+
Prices start at $1,900 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kathmandu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 12 Days Everest Base Camp Trek with Kalapatthar Summit take?
+
Plan for about 288 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kathmandu is not rushed.
Is 12 Days Everest Base Camp Trek with Kalapatthar Summit worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 11 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kathmandu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 12 Days Everest Base Camp Trek with Kalapatthar Summit?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 12 Days Everest Base Camp Trek with Kalapatthar Summit suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 288-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 12 Days Everest Base Camp Trek with Kalapatthar Summit?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kathmandu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kathmandu and add a light layer if any part of the 288-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 12 Days Everest Base Camp Trek with Kalapatthar Summit start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kathmandu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Kathmandu?
+
On Outty we rank every Kathmandu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Kathmandu Sightseeing | UNESCO World Heritage sites Private/Group, Manaslu Circuit Trek, Manaslu Circuit Trek: Private Group & Discounte Price. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kathmandu?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kathmandu?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
What is included in 12 Days Everest Base Camp Trek with Kalapatthar Summit?
+

Not included: Porter; International flight fare; Visa fees; and Travel Insurance. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.
Does 12 Days Everest Base Camp Trek with Kalapatthar Summit include hotel pickup?
+
Yes, pickup is offered for every traveler from 391 listed pickup locations in and around Kathmandu. Be ready about 60 minutes before the start time.
What languages is 12 Days Everest Base Camp Trek with Kalapatthar Summit offered in?
+
It runs in English. Pick your language when choosing a date and time, as not every departure runs in every language.
