An Unforgettable Journey Thanks to LilaDhar Bhandari
I recently took a bucket-list trip to Nepal and Bhutan that turned out to be remarkable, though not for the reasons I expected. While the U.S. company I booked through was disappointing—their guide proved unprofessional and incompetent—the experience was saved by LilaDhar Bhandari, the local operator they contracted with. LilaDhar is an exceptional tour guide whose passion for Nepal is contagious. He stepped up immediately when it became clear our assigned guide wasn't up to the task, taking the reins to ensure we experienced the very best of both Nepal and Bhutan. His knowledge is encyclopedic, his kindness genuine, and his dedication to creating meaningful experiences unmatched. . What sets LilaDhar apart is not just his professionalism but his humanitarian work. He founded an orphanage in Nepal, which we had the privilege of visiting. Meeting the staff and children was a highlight of our trip and a testament to his character. My advice: skip the middleman tour companies and contact LilaDhar directly. He'll work with you to craft the bucket-list adventure you're dreaming of, without the disappointment of dealing with unreliable intermediaries.
Response from the operator: Thank you from the bottom of my heart for these deeply moving words. Your kindness, trust, and understanding mean more to me than I can express. I am truly grateful that I could step in and help turn your journey into the meaningful experience you deserved. Sharing the beauty, spirit, and heart of Nepal and Bhutan—especially the visit to our children was an honor. Your encouragement and recommendation are humbling, and you inspire me to continue serving travelers with sincerity, care, and purpose.

Exciting Nepal and Bhutan
No detail overlooked! Guides and drivers were excellent! Variety of experiences including Tigers Nest, beautiful temples and excellent accommodations. The safari experience at the lodge in Chitwan was memorable where we also visited a local village. The owner of the company makes every effort to personalize your trip to perfection. The loving people in both counties will make this trip one to remember. Can’t wait to return!
Response from the operator: Dear Debbie, Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We are truly delighted to hear that every detail of your journey felt well taken care of and that our guides and drivers made your experience special. It’s wonderful that the blend of cultural highlights—such as Tiger’s Nest and the beautiful temples—along with the comfort of your accommodations created a memorable trip. We’re especially happy that your time in Chitwan, the safari, and the visit to the local village left such a lasting impression. Personalizing each trip to perfection is something we take great pride in, and your kind words mean a lot to us. The warmth of the people in Nepal and Bhutan is indeed something unforgettable, and we’re thrilled you felt that connection. We can’t wait to welcome you back for another incredible adventure! Excellent Service
We planned a trip with Lila and Going Nepal. The service and attention to make sure everything went smoothly was excellent. We unfortunately had several days of unseasonable rain which caused major travel delays. Lila was by our side all the way, adjusting our itinerary and working his magic to make sure that we could get out on the first flights available. I couldn’t speak more highly of his kindness, generosity, and service! Thank you Lila for showing us the wonderful Nepalese hospitality!
Response from the operator: Dear Tulip and Friends Thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughtful review. It was truly our pleasure to plan your journey, and I’m grateful for your kind words. Even with the unexpected weather challenges, I’m happy we were able to adjust the itinerary smoothly and ensure you could continue your travels with minimal disruption. Your patience, understanding, and positive spirit made all the difference. Nepalese hospitality is something we are deeply proud of, and I’m delighted to know you felt warmly welcomed throughout your trip. Thank you once again for choosing Going Nepal - Luxury DMC. I look forward to welcoming you back to Nepal for more beautiful experiences, hopefully with clearer skies next time! With regards, Lila Dhar Bhandari CEO | Travel Advisor

Why this scores 69
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
11 Days Private Nepal and Bhutan Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kathmandu.
How much does 11 Days Private Nepal and Bhutan Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $2380 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kathmandu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 11 Days Private Nepal and Bhutan Tour take?
+
Plan for about 264 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kathmandu is not rushed.
Is 11 Days Private Nepal and Bhutan Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 13 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Kathmandu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 11 Days Private Nepal and Bhutan Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 72 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 11 Days Private Nepal and Bhutan Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 264-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 11 Days Private Nepal and Bhutan Tour?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kathmandu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kathmandu and add a light layer if any part of the 264-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 11 Days Private Nepal and Bhutan Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kathmandu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Kathmandu?
+
On Outty we rank every Kathmandu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour | UNESCO World Heritage sites, Classic Everest Base Camp Trek, Manaslu Circuit Trek. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kathmandu?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kathmandu?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
