10 Days Uganda Gorilla, Chimpanzee & Wildlife Safari

Amazing experience

We’ve just returned from two wonderful weeks in Uganda with Ananias from Prime Safaris. Our trip got off to a flying start with a visit to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, where we came face to face with rhinos on foot. We then drove on to Murchison Falls National Park, where we admired the waterfall both on foot and by boat. During the boat trip, we were given detailed information about the flora and fauna to be seen in and around the banks of the Nile. The game drives in the park also lived up to our expectations: on the first day, we saw buffalo, elephants, antelopes, warthogs, giraffes and… a leopard! Ananias really did his best to ensure we could see all the animals. Our next stop was Kibale National Park, where, whilst searching for chimpanzees, we were rewarded with a close encounter with one of the primates. Ananias had briefed us thoroughly on safety during this visit, so we didn’t have to worry at any point. We then set off for Queen Elizabeth National Park, where we spotted a sleeping lion immediately upon arrival. Later, thanks to Ananias, we also saw the famous tree-climbing lions in Ishasha. As we naturally wanted to see more primates after the chimpanzees, we decided to go gorilla tracking as well. Ananias had told us beforehand that it could be a long trek and prepared us for that. The hour we spent with the gorillas then flew by and was a real highlight of the trip for us! The penultimate stop on this trip was at Lake Bunyonyi. There, we had the chance to relax a little more. Afterwards, we drove on to the final national park on our trip, Lake Mburo. Thanks to Ananias, we were already able to spot a shoebill stork here. Finally, we headed back to Entebbe, the starting point of our trip. On the morning of our departure, we went in search of the shoebill stork once more and were able to observe this impressive bird up close. Throughout the entire trip, Ananias made sure we got to sample the delicious local fruit and food. He drove carefully on the challenging roads, so we always felt safe with him in the jeep. His enthusiasm and sense of humour helped make for an unforgettable trip. Thank you, Ananias!

Amazing Ugandan Safari

This was my 2nd safari, did Kenya previously 10 years ago with a different tour operator and it cost a lot more money. This time I chose Prime Safari’s because of the cost benefits and felt I received just as much value if not more for the money spent. I decided to do this trip a month before hand and Cate provided amazing customer service in helping put this trip together at basically the last minute . Our 10 day safari was truly amazing as was our private guide Joseph. I am beginning to plan another safari tour about a year from now now and Cate at Prime Safaris will be the first person I contact to make this trip happen.

An amazing experience around Rwanda and Uganda.

We went on a safari tour of 16 people split between three jeeps for 10 days. Aside from the incredible sites that we got to see the team of three guides that drove us around were outstanding in their care, honesty, and energy. We felt safe the entire time and were provided with all necessary information before going on treks, safaris, etc so we were never caught out unprepared. My family was in Tinka's truck. He was an excellent guide and friend for our trip. He always held our best interests first, getting us around safely while having a good laugh. We will all look back fondly at the time we spent on the tour with him. Thank you, Tinka!

The perfect trip!

Cate from Prime did an amazing job planning our safari. Every minute was thought out and she gave us exactly what we wanted. Our driver Ananias was excellent. Uganda is stunning. Highly recommend that you go to Uganda and that you book your trip with Prime Safaris!
