Great trek with Sukra!
We did the EBC and Gokyo trek with Sukra and had a really good experience. Whenever we had questions, he always had an answer. He checked on us every day to see how we were feeling and kept us positive along the way. The weather wasn't great at times, but he came up with a few different plans and talked them through with us so we could still finish the trek. He really helped make the trip go smoothly. Would recommend! 👍

amazing ebc trek
special thanks to rabin, veer, tulraj rai and chitij rai for an amazing ebc trek. veer was a guide who made the trek so fun & answered all our silly questions. he made it feel like hiking with a friend, but he also cared more than our safety than ourselves. rabin was hospitable and took such good care of us before and after the hike. tulraj and chitij were such efficient porters. when one of us had to get an emergency helicopter evacuation, all of them worked as quickly as they could to get us to safety. my friend was hospitalised and recovered well after. this is my 2nd trek with them, 11/10 would recommend if you are doing any trek in nepal.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much, Sherryln, for your excellent reviews for my team and us. See you next trip!

A challenging trek but highly rewarding
This is my 2nd successful trek to EBC since my first trek in March 2019. The trek conditions remain challenging but it is a rewarding journey with amazing views of the majestic Himalayan mountain range. I have a strong support and guidance from our guide Sushil Gurung and his team that help me made it to EBC. This is my 3rd engagement with Sushil Gurung as I have enjoyed trekking with him in my previous 2 other treks ie to ABC and Mardi Himal. If you choose to go with Everest Trekking Routes, ask for Sushil Gurung as your guide.

Experience of a lifetime for a first timer
I am a first timer to Nepal, to hiking in Nepal and to outdoor activities. This trip was an excellent eye-opener, though frequently tiring. Our lead guide, Sushil and his assistant guides made sure we were safe at all times, Sushil prepared us each evening for the coming day's challenges and how to dress appropriately for the weather, encouraged us constantly during the trek, and ensured that all our problems and questions were handled satisfactorily in a practical way, made sure that we had enough food and water. His team of porters was well trained and well prepped so that all our bags arrived safely before us and even put our bags in our rooms for us for us to unpack and settle down for the night. This is important as we were tired from the day's hike. His team also took down our bags each morning to prep for the day's hike. All in, the services given by Sushil and his team went beyond my expectations. The fees I paid for this trek were more than justified. I never felt lost though it was my first time hiking in a foreign country. Everything was pre-empted and well taken care of.

A lifetime dream come true
What an amazing tour and experience for me! My friends and I had a very successsful expedition to EBC and this is not possible without the support and guidance of our experienced guide Shusil Gurung and his team of assistance guides( Kumar) and portals. In this tour, many things did go smoothly according to plans. Some of us were slower, some very fast, some fell sick with mild AMS symptoms and not helping was the unpredictable weather. I am so glad and thankful we have the support and protection from Shusil and team who displayed great leadership and advice at moments like these. When my hiking pole broke, Shusil and Kumar stepped in to fix it. Without the pole it won’t be possible for me to trek safely . Many many thanks to you Shusil and team for making my dream of conquering EBC came true! May God bless you all and Nepal. Thanks for showing us your beautiful country and culture !

10 Days Everest Base Camp Trek: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kathmandu.
How much does 10 Days Everest Base Camp Trek cost?
+
Prices start at $1,600 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kathmandu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 10 Days Everest Base Camp Trek take?
+
Plan for about 288 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kathmandu is not rushed.
Is 10 Days Everest Base Camp Trek worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 14 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable outdoors in Kathmandu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 10 Days Everest Base Camp Trek?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is 10 Days Everest Base Camp Trek suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 288-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 10 Days Everest Base Camp Trek?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kathmandu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kathmandu and add a light layer if any part of the 288-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 10 Days Everest Base Camp Trek start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kathmandu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Kathmandu?
+
On Outty we rank every Kathmandu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Kathmandu Sightseeing | UNESCO World Heritage sites Private/Group, Manaslu Circuit Trek, Manaslu Circuit Trek: Private Group & Discounte Price. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kathmandu?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kathmandu?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
