Ride with Kirk in San Francisco!!!
We had a very enjoyable experience on the Hop-On Hop-Off tour in San Francisco! Our driver, Kirk, was fantastic, friendly, informative, and made the ride even more fun. It was a great way to see the city and visit all the major sights without having to worry about transportation. Definitely recommend it if you’re visiting San Francisco!

The Hop-On Hop-Off bus...
The Hop-On Hop-Off bus was honestly one of the best things we did in San Francisco! It made seeing the city so easy and fun without spending a fortune on Ubers. We got to see so much of San Francisco, hop off whenever something caught our eye, explore, and jump right back on when we were ready. Riding across the Golden Gate Bridge was definitely a highlight! 🌉 If it’s your first time in San Francisco, I 100% recommend it. Such an easy, affordable way to get around while still getting the full experience of the city. We’d absolutely do it again! 🫶🏼

Best tour in San Francisco
Best way to see the city with limited time. It takes you to the most popular attractions in the city. This tour is a great value and must do for anyone visiting San Francisco.

Bus was good, follow-up was terrible
You cannot get your actual ticket online. Must go to a vendor, then walk 3 blocks to pick up bus. Should be able to receive tickets by email after paying. The commentary on some of the buses could not e heard/ understood. Also, if you lose something on the bus, forget about it. We called the office 3 times, waited 2 hours in the city for a return call about our lost items , and NEVER heard back from them. Disappointing, because up until then, it was a nice experience. But they apparently cannot or will not contact their drivers.

1 day Hop-on Hop-off in San Francisco 20 stops 8 hours: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for San Francisco.
How much does 1 day Hop-on Hop-off in San Francisco 20 stops 8 hours cost?
+
Prices start at $47 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in San Francisco usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 1 day Hop-on Hop-off in San Francisco 20 stops 8 hours take?
+
Plan for about 24 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in San Francisco is not rushed.
Is 1 day Hop-on Hop-off in San Francisco 20 stops 8 hours worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.9/5 across 48 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in San Francisco, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 1 day Hop-on Hop-off in San Francisco 20 stops 8 hours?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 1 day Hop-on Hop-off in San Francisco 20 stops 8 hours suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 24-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 1 day Hop-on Hop-off in San Francisco 20 stops 8 hours?
+
Around 17 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in San Francisco can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in San Francisco and add a light layer if any part of the 24-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 1 day Hop-on Hop-off in San Francisco 20 stops 8 hours start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central San Francisco within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in San Francisco?
+
San Francisco packs Alcatraz, Muir Woods, Napa and the bay into day-trip range, which makes booking order matter more than anywhere else in the US. Alcatraz sells out weeks ahead, wine-country vans fill on weekends, and the best food walks in the Mission and Chinatown cap at a dozen people. Our ranking favours small groups and guides who live in the neighbourhood they walk. On Outty we rank every San Francisco experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Small Group Yosemite and Giant Sequoias Day Trip from San Francisco, Golden Gate Bridge Muir Woods Sausalito with Optional Alcatraz, Chinatown, North Beach, Little Italy: 7 Tastings & History. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit San Francisco?
+
September and October, the city's real summer, once the fog season breaks. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in San Francisco?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
