    Fun for everyone

It was so much fun! Equipment was clean, staff was very friendly and we were given all the information for a great tour. The carts have a gps which tells you where to go as well as a fact sharing sentence or two at each point of interest. Would definitely do this again.

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience! We're so happy to hear you had such a fun time and enjoyed the clean GoCar, friendly team, and GPS-guided tour. It's great to know the commentary helped you discover interesting facts along the way! We'd love to welcome you back for another adventure. Next time, consider trying our **electric E-Sport** and our popular **Over the Golden Gate Bridge Tour** for a different way to experience San Francisco. 🚗🌉⚡ We hope to see you again soon!

    We had a blast

Walked up to store when we saw the buggies. They were busy but had available cars for rent. We had 3 couples and drove around to Golden Gate Bridge then over to Lombard street. Views were great and cars were a blast well worth 125.00 after all taxes and fees.

Response from the operator: We love hearing that you had such a blast exploring San Francisco with us! It sounds like your group of three couples made the most of your GoCar adventure, from the Golden Gate Bridge to the iconic Lombard Street. We’re thrilled that you enjoyed the views and found the cars to be such a fun way to experience the City. Thank you for choosing GoCar and for recommending the experience. Next time, come back and try our popular Over the Bridge Tour or take on the impressive and immersive Muir Woods Tour for a completely different San Francisco adventure. We’d love to have you back!

    One hour buggy ride

It's a fun way to get a view of the city up close. Unfortunately, the automated tour guide was not accurate in terms of guiding us. We went through the Presidio and near the Golden Gate but on our way back we were trying to go down Lombard Street and the automated system switched us to a different route and we ended up getting a little lost. The staff was helpful with check in and scheduling.

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience with us! We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the fun and unique way of exploring San Francisco up close in our GoBuggy, and that our team was helpful during check-in and scheduling. We’re sorry to hear that the automated tour guidance caused some confusion during your return route. We truly appreciate you bringing this to our attention, as feedback like yours helps us identify areas where we can improve the navigation experience for our guests. We hope the scenic drive through the Presidio and near the Golden Gate still gave you some memorable views of the city. We’d love to welcome you back for another GoCar adventure—perhaps our popular Over the Bridge Tour or our immersive Muir Woods experience for a completely different way to discover San Francisco!

    Fun but frustrating

The cars were so much fun however do your research before. We booked through the go city pass and it said we could take the cars over the Golden Gate Bridge. When we checked in we were told we could NOT take the cars over the bridge that we would have to rent one of the larger cars that were not available in the pass. We were very disappointed with that. Secondly, we were on the one hour gps guided tour and had to follow the full directions in order to find our way back to the shop but with having to sit in traffic for quite a while, we were not able to stop at all to take pictures and we were still 15 minutes late returning causing us to be charged with the overage fee.

Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us—we truly appreciate your feedback 🙏 We’re really glad to hear you had fun with the cars, but we’re sorry for the confusion regarding the Golden Gate Bridge access and the time constraints during your tour. We understand how frustrating that must have been, especially when you were hoping to make stops along the way. Your comments are very valuable, and we’ll make sure to share them with our team to keep improving communication and the overall experience for our guests. We hope to have the chance to welcome you again—maybe next time you can try a different vehicle option and enjoy a more flexible ride beyond the bridge! 🌉🚗✨

    Excellent customer service

First rate from booking to handing the cart back. Very safety conscious, great customer service and the route taken was a fantastic way to see San Fran. Great fun, wish we’d booked longer.

Response from the operator: Thank you for the wonderful review! We’re so glad to hear your experience was first-rate from booking to returning the car. Safety and customer service are very important to us, so it’s great to know that stood out during your visit. We’re also happy you enjoyed the route—it really is a fantastic way to see San Francisco. Next time, we’d love to have you back for a longer tour so you can explore even more. Thanks again for choosing GoCar! 🚗✨

1HR San Francisco Chinatown and Downtown GoCar Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for San Francisco.

How much does 1HR San Francisco Chinatown and Downtown GoCar Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $99 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in San Francisco usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 1HR San Francisco Chinatown and Downtown GoCar Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in San Francisco is not rushed.

Is 1HR San Francisco Chinatown and Downtown GoCar Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 37 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in San Francisco, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 1HR San Francisco Chinatown and Downtown GoCar Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is 1HR San Francisco Chinatown and Downtown GoCar Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book 1HR San Francisco Chinatown and Downtown GoCar Tour?

    +

Around 13 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in San Francisco can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in San Francisco and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 1HR San Francisco Chinatown and Downtown GoCar Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central San Francisco within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in San Francisco?

    +

San Francisco packs Alcatraz, Muir Woods, Napa and the bay into day-trip range, which makes booking order matter more than anywhere else in the US. Alcatraz sells out weeks ahead, wine-country vans fill on weekends, and the best food walks in the Mission and Chinatown cap at a dozen people. Our ranking favours small groups and guides who live in the neighbourhood they walk. On Outty we rank every San Francisco experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Small Group Yosemite and Giant Sequoias Day Trip from San Francisco, Golden Gate Bridge Muir Woods Sausalito with Optional Alcatraz, Chinatown, North Beach, Little Italy: 7 Tastings & History. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit San Francisco?

    +

September and October, the city's real summer, once the fog season breaks. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in San Francisco?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
