The zip line adventure that wasn't

I would actually like to give this company a -5 star rating. The company never showed up or replied to any of the messages I sent. I do have to say Viator did try on their end to get a hold of the company but they too got nothing from the company. I have asked for a refund since I did not get to experience zip lining in punta cana. Refund pending.

    AVOID IF POSSIBLE

Unfortunately I would not recommend this trip. First of all.. the driver was unprofessional... on the way to the Zipline, he stopped at a souvenier store without telling us / asking us. When we got there, he ordered we exit the car and follow him - so we did. As we approached the store, the store folks placed stickers on our shirts with "the number 20" and told us to go in and "shop". I assume what happened was, he and other drivers were taking their passengers to this shop to purchase items and as they did, they received a commission off of them, hence the "number" stickers on our shir (groups that came with different drivers had a different number than me and my fiancé but were of the same number to represent their driver). Second of all, he got lost a couple of times... As for the Zipline itself -- poor experience as well. The description says 12 Ziplines to experience from. We did 6. In addition, the owner followed us on each Zipline and took pictures of us, pushing us to pose a certain way -- it was so annoying my fiancé and I could not enjoy the moment. After completing, he offered some fruits and water for us which we didn't want -- but he kept insisting we taste the fruits here in DR so, because we didn't want to seem rude we did. After we did, we were sternly asked for a donation. AFTER that.. he pushed for us to buy the photos and video he took of us during the Zipline course -- we were pretty clear we were not interested -- he continued to push and took out his credit card machine and asked my our cards... AGAIN, we said no thank you at which point he said, he was disappointed because it took him a lot of work to do... we again apologized for his time (although we made clear we were not interested) --- as we walked away, he then said it would be available for 30 days and he could give us a discount...I understand about the hustle BUT MY GOSH!!!! Please don't go here... it was pretty bad... the driver and the owner RUINED the whole experience.

    Friendly and safe

Friendly workers and felt safe. We were the only ones there so it went pretty fast. Make sure you’re in shape enough to climb a lot of stairs 😂

    Superb experience

Carlos and his team are just amazing. They made us really feel comfortable and confident. Made us feel special by providing personal attention to us. Climbing up sometimes took longer and they were very patient and accommodating ... never tried to rush us. I would recommend this excursion and this tour operator to any one who wishes to have a great experience.

Zip Line - Half Day Adventure: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Punta Cana.

How much does Zip Line - Half Day Adventure cost?

    +

Prices start at $65 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Punta Cana usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Zip Line - Half Day Adventure take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Punta Cana is not rushed.

Is Zip Line - Half Day Adventure worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 52 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Punta Cana, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Zip Line - Half Day Adventure?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Zip Line - Half Day Adventure suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Zip Line - Half Day Adventure?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Punta Cana can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Punta Cana and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Zip Line - Half Day Adventure start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Punta Cana within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Punta Cana?

    +

On Outty we rank every Punta Cana experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Punta Cana Zipline - 8 lines and a suspenseful hanging bridge, Punta Cana Buggy or ATV Tour with Macao Beach, Cave and Tastings, Buggy Excursion to Macau Beach and Natural Cave. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Punta Cana?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Punta Cana?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
