Worth it for the price
This is a nice half day out and a lovely way to wile away a few hours, but there are some things to be aware of. We were told to look for bus number 40 to collect us; the but was not marked and had no number 40. We just went up to the driver, checked his pick up sheet and saw our names on it. There are lots of pick up, but it’s still only 30-40 minutes in a mini-bus. Air conditioning is not great. When we got to the beach we had to wait another 40 minutes for the boat to come back from a previous trip, but there were bars on the beachfront for drinks and toilets. They make you take your shoes off before getting on the boat. ALL shoes except water shoes. No crocs, no flip flops, no sandals. They will not let you on with shoes on unless they are water shoes. You have to walk out into the sea to get on the boat so make sure you’re wearing swimming gear and if you can get water shoes, I would advise it because some of the beaches are pebbly and very painful. Our kids both had beach shoes so they were fine, but my husband and I struggled walking on some of the areas. Overall, you will be fine though. Take water and snacks or lunch with you, because there is no food for the first two hours and our trip run straight over lunchtime. The tour is for up to 23 people. We had 21 and it was a tight fit, however once you get settled, the captain lets you move to over parts of the boats and you can spread out a bit. We all made friends on the boat and everyone was very accommodating to each other, especially to the kids. The glass bottom boat is a bit of a stretch. There are 4 glass panels to look out, but don’t be disappointed when the boat doesn’t have a literal glass bottom. The captain gives a tour, but it’s very hard to hear him over the roar of the engine, so unless you are next to him, you will hear nothing. We saw lots of turtles swimming all around us and got lots of photos and the kids loved it. The views are nice and the caves are pretty. The first stop is to go swimming. The water is clear and not too deep and the water was warm and inviting. The boat has a cover to protect from the sun, which is perfect. The next stop is to Turtle Island. We would have happily skipped this part. It’s a huge tourist trap. The main part of the beach is closed off to protect the turtle nest, so there is a slim beach area all the way around the edge where hundreds of tourists are camped out and boats are moored . There is no shade there is no seating and their are no toilets, but you can go swimming and there are food boats providing delicious fresh sandwiches, hotdogs, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and ice cream creams. On our ride home, our boat broke down, but within 15 minutes another boat had arrived we will transferred onto it after we went back to the main mainland. Overall for the price, this is definitely worth a day trip. When I go on holiday, I love going on boats and I love being close to the ocean and this was definitely worth it. According to people on our boat trip, some of the larger boats were absolutely packed full of tourist doing exactly the same as us but much less comfortable conditions. Again for the price, I would definitely recommend this boat trip. This review is more to provide the information, that I wish we had all known before booking.

Reliable and flexible operator
We were informed ahead of time that our captain fell ill and were offered to move to a tour later in the day or the next day. Communications were clear and responses prompt. The trip was nice. We did see one turtle (in the Harbour already), but mostly enjoyed being out on the water and swimming in beautiful places.

Turtle watching & Kiri caves trip
Excellent trip, brilliant captain & boat was quick, stable, small enough to get into the caves & plenty of time for two swim stops & saw a turtle surface right by the boat, which also swam underneath. 3hrs is perfect time, trips from Zante Town take 2-3hrs more.
