An excellent experience from start to finish.
This was the second tour we took with Prime Tours Krakow during our recent stay and like the first it was excellent! We were picked up from our hotel by Thomas who was our driver/ guide. His driving was excellent and his English impeccable. His knowledge seemed limitless. We learned so much on our journey to and from Zakopane - everything from the history and culture of the areas we passed through or stopped at to the architectural style of the houses and villages. Zakopane itself is beautiful and the views from Gubalowka Hill over the valley and the Tatra Mountains is breathtaking. This was a truly exceptional day from start to finish and I would highly recommend this tour.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for both of your wonderful reviews and for choosing us twice during your stay! It was a true pleasure to host you, and we hope to see you again in Kraków!

Last day trip out of the city
We did this trip on the last day of our holiday which worked out perfect as we got picked up from the hotel in the morning and dropped to the airport after. It was great to get out of the city and see other parts of Poland, the drive was very scenic and we had a great laugh with Tomasz our driver who was very knowledgeable. Zakopane was busy as it was Easter weekend but the views were great, especially at the other quieter viewpoints we stopped at. However Chocholow was my absolute favourite part of the trip as the buildings were stunning. Would definitely recommend this trip to anyone going!
Response from the operator: Thank you for your kind words! During our Zakopane visits, we always aim to show our guests the most beautiful and meaningful sights, and the wooden cottages in Chochołów are certainly a highlight. That’s why a stop there is mandatory on every Zakopane tour organized by us.

Excellent Tour Guide
Tomasz was great and made us feel at ease. The whole day was like spending it with a friend not a tour guide He was very informative and at times made us laugh. Tomasz asked us what we were interested in and stopped at places where we could take photos To top the day off Tomasz took us to a bonfire and we had a lovely meal with drinks Would highly recommend booking any tour with Tomasz
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words! We’re delighted that Tomasz made your day feel relaxed, friendly, and full of great memories. The bonfire experience is one of our favorite ways to end a tour — a perfect mix of good food, local flavors, and a warm atmosphere. We’re so glad you enjoyed it and truly appreciate your recommendation!

Amazing trip with the perfect driver
We had an amazing time in Zakopane, our driver Tomasz was on time for pick up, drove safely and showed us lots of sites. His English is exceptional so we had some great conversations! He was super friendly and we had a great experience going up on the funicular, exploring Zakopane town and even quad biking through the mountains. A perfect winter trip highly recommend.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your lovely feedback! We’re delighted you had an amazing time in Zakopane with Tomasz. It’s great to know he made your trip so enjoyable. Zakopane Visit sound like the perfect winter adventure! We hope to see you again soon!

Zakopane & Gubalowka Funicular - Private Winter Tour from Krakow: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Krakow.
How much does Zakopane & Gubalowka Funicular - Private Winter Tour from Krakow cost?
+
Prices start at $188 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Krakow usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Zakopane & Gubalowka Funicular - Private Winter Tour from Krakow take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Krakow is not rushed.
Is Zakopane & Gubalowka Funicular - Private Winter Tour from Krakow worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 10 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Krakow, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Zakopane & Gubalowka Funicular - Private Winter Tour from Krakow?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Zakopane & Gubalowka Funicular - Private Winter Tour from Krakow suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Zakopane & Gubalowka Funicular - Private Winter Tour from Krakow?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Krakow can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Krakow and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Zakopane & Gubalowka Funicular - Private Winter Tour from Krakow start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Krakow within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Krakow?
+
On Outty we rank every Krakow experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Complete Cracow Bike Tour (small group of maximum 15 people!), Krakow–Zakopane: Cable Car, Chocholow Baths, Cheese & Vodka, Krakow: Zakopane & Hot Springs Tour with Cable Car (Hotel Pickup). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Krakow?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Krakow?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
