Not a guide by locals, but AI-generated podcasts.

This is not a tour with actual guides. This is a tour generated with NotebookLM, and the audio files are AI-generated podcasts based on a bunch of articles about every landmark. This resulted in over 20 minute long podcasts in which these AI-presenters talk about the landmarks. I have no problem with the fact that AI is used, but at least put some work in prior selection of the information in the provided material, so that every sentence is relevant and you don’t need a ramble of 20+ minutes about places like a train station. And be honest about it. Don’t give me crap like “our guides” and “local guides” etc

Response from the operator: We must address several inaccuracies and unprofessional aspects in your review. Regarding Your Qualifications: You appear to lack any professional background or qualifications in tourism, travel services, or audio guide production. Without proper credentials in these fields, you are not qualified to define what constitutes a "proper guide" or to make authoritative statements about industry standards. Your review contains misleading information that could harm our business reputation without valid justification. Regarding Our Technology: Our audio guides utilize multiple advanced AI technologies to deliver superior experiences compared to traditional human narration. This represents cutting-edge innovation in the tourism industry, providing consistent, high-quality content that surpasses what individual human guides can offer. Regarding Content Length: The 20-minute duration reflects extensive research and comprehensive coverage designed for optimal learning with active listening engagement. This timing is professionally calibrated - not too brief to miss important details, not overly lengthy to lose attention. You have no authority to dictate appropriate content duration for professional audio guides. Regarding Attraction Coverage: This tour covers 11 major tourist attractions in Zagreb, clearly detailed in the product description. If you prefer to skip certain attractions like the train station, that is your personal choice and responsibility as a user. The tour provides comprehensive options for all travelers. Regarding Our Guides: Our content is researched and curated by local experts with extensive Zagreb knowledge. The term "guides" accurately reflects the guidance provided through our professionally produced audio content. We encourage honest feedback, but require it to be factual, ethical, and based on legitimate concerns rather than personal assumptions or attempts to discredit our professional services.

Great for solo travellers and/or those with hearing issues

Walking tours can vary in numbers which can mean it is difficult to hear the guide especially in high traffic areas. This audio guide was excellent as it provided lots of detail about the various sites, the architecture, the history and current usage. Highly recommended as you can choose time of day to visit each site too

Your point about being able to choose your own timing is exactly what we designed this experience around. Whether you're an early morning explorer who wants to see the Cathedral in peaceful solitude, or you prefer to experience the vibrant energy of Dolac Market during peak hours, our audio guide adapts to your schedule. The fact that you can start at Zagreb Glavni Kolodvor Train Station and work your way through King Tomislav Square and the Green Horseshoe of Zrinjevac, or begin at the iconic St. Mark's Church and explore the Upper Town first - the choice is entirely yours. We're particularly pleased that you found the level of detail enriching. Our audio guides dive deep into the stories that make each location special, from the secret passages of the train station to the symbolic meanings behind the colorful tiles of St. Mark's Church roof. Zagreb Self-Guided Audio Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Zagreb.

How much does Zagreb Self-Guided Audio Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $6 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Zagreb usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Zagreb Self-Guided Audio Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Zagreb is not rushed.

Is Zagreb Self-Guided Audio Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 53 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.7/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Zagreb, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Zagreb Self-Guided Audio Tour?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Zagreb Self-Guided Audio Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Zagreb Self-Guided Audio Tour?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Zagreb can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Zagreb and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Zagreb Self-Guided Audio Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Zagreb within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Zagreb?

    +

On Outty we rank every Zagreb experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Communism & Croatian Homeland War Tour, Zagreb Highlights: Old Town, WWII tunnels, Funicular & Tastings, Old Zagreb Private Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Zagreb?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Zagreb?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
