A magical experience!

To see the desert at sunset and sunrise was a wonderful experience and totally worth the long drive from Marrakech. The journey was made in a comfortable people carrier and very safe. Samir, our guide, was excellent across the 2 days. Very friendly, interesting and professional. Once handed over for the camel rides and camp, we were looked after so well and found the camp beyond our expectations. The sand, silence, and stars were special but so was the welcome from everyone we encountered. Highly recommended.

Response from the operator: Dear Roy B, Thank you so much for your great review! We are happy to hear that you had such a special time in the desert. It’s amazing that the sunrise, sunset, and stars made such a lasting memory for you. We’re glad the camp was better than you expected, and that Idriss and Samir took good care of you . We hope to see you again for another great trip! Kind regards, Rachid Discover Morocco Tours

Wonderful experience with a wonderful person

We had a truly amazing time with our guide Chouayb. He is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the local culture and history, and the time in the car driving to and from the desert was a fantastic way to build a connection to the country and make a good friend along the way. He took great care of us, particularly on the drive when navigating traffic and some areas of icy roads. At the desert camp, we had a wonderful host Ali who was incredibly kind of heart. His warmth is a treasured memory that we will bring back home with us. The owner Rachid is very responsive and was a pleasure to work with. Our visit to Marrakech was truly made complete by doing this tour. We highly recommend.

Response from the operator: Thank you sincerely for your glowing review and for enthusiastically endorsing our services to others. Your generous praise means the world to us, and we are thrilled to know that you had an exceptional experience with us. We eagerly look forward to the opportunity of hosting you again on your future visit to Morocco. Your continued support is deeply valued, and we extend our best wishes to you. Rachid.

Five Stars under the night sky of millions of stars

I booked this trip for me and my family (5 adults) because a friend recommended it. And I have to admit it was worth it. Despite a long ride from Marrakesh to the dunes of Tinfou we enjoyed it and could gather a lot of insights in culture - historical and present. The visit of the UNESCO Site of Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah was one of several highlights as well as the camel ride - even that camel-guides were asking for tips - what is principally ok - it would be somehow good to be prepared because we left the most of our belongings in the car transporting our luggage to the camp. We had a fantastic meal. The musisians could coordinate themselves better but we had a lot of fun anyway dancing under the stars around a camp fire. Despite other descriptions we could sleep very well and had a wonderful breakfast. Also the tour back was amazing: The drâa valley and ist palmeries, insights of ceramic or argan oil production. It seems the the programm is individualised to the groups requirements. So five stars under the nightsky of millions of stars ...

Response from the operator: Dear Guest, Thank you so much for taking the time to write your review of our property, your comments are very much valued. We really appreciate your kind words and many thanks for your recommendation. Thank you again, and we look forward to seeing you on your next trip to Morocco. Best Regards, Rachid.

Best driver and worst camp ever

We hired this company because lots of good comments and I am a little bit disappointed with it. I requested (and it was confirmed by email) an spanish speaker driver and driver was really good one and really friendly but he was not spanish speaker. Also the company told us that driver would meet us in the hotel and night before hotel got a call from the company saying that we should meet in the square and look for his car (we were provided target number). Trip to Tinfou camp from Marrakesh is long but Houcein (driver) made it fun and he was always willing to adapt to our needs and always very friendly and polite. I’ve been many times in Morocco and Houcein is the best driver ever because other times they were driving too fast and dangerously but this time driving was perfect. One we got to tinfou all went much worst. Place is nice (even if dunes are nothing to do with Merzouga obviously), but the guy with camels was asking us for tips and once we gave tip to him he didn’t want to put camels up for a picture so he left. Dinner was nice but breakfast very poor. The worst thing were tents. I have been several times on different desert camps in the world (Wadi Rum, Merzouga, Zagora, etc) and on luxury and non luxury tents with quite days and windy days but these tents were not ready to be sold for tourist. Plastic on the tent was hitting all night long the wood (that tent is made of) because the wind and it was impossible to sleep. We also asked other people in the camp and they could not sleep at all. I went out of the tents during the night several times and the wind was not that strong but noise inside the tent was horrible. We spent a horrible night and then we decided to leave the camp as soon as possible.

Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback with us. We truly appreciate your honest review, as it helps us understand areas where we can improve to ensure a better experience for future travelers. We're thrilled to hear that Houcein, your driver, made your journey enjoyable and safe. Providing excellent service and ensuring our guests feel comfortable throughout their travels is our top priority. We apologize for any miscommunication regarding the language preference and meeting point. Rest assured, we will address this issue internally to prevent similar occurrences in the future. Regarding your experience at Tinfou camp, we are deeply sorry to hear about the disappointment you encountered. Your feedback regarding the camel guide's behavior, the quality of breakfast, and the condition of the tents is concerning, and we will work diligently with our partners to rectify these issues immediately. Our aim is to provide our guests with memorable and comfortable experiences, and we regret that we fell short of your expectations on this occasion. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and discomfort you experienced during your stay at the camp. Your feedback is invaluable to us, and we will use it constructively to make necessary improvements to ensure a higher standard of service in the future. Once again, we appreciate your candid feedback and hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future for a more enjoyable experience. Kind regards, Discover Morocco Tours team.

Zagora Desert Tour 2 days 1 night from Marrakech: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Marrakech.

How much does Zagora Desert Tour 2 days 1 night from Marrakech cost?

+

Prices start at $89 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Marrakech usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Zagora Desert Tour 2 days 1 night from Marrakech take?

+

Plan for about 48 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Marrakech is not rushed.

Is Zagora Desert Tour 2 days 1 night from Marrakech worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Marrakech, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Zagora Desert Tour 2 days 1 night from Marrakech?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Zagora Desert Tour 2 days 1 night from Marrakech suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 48-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Zagora Desert Tour 2 days 1 night from Marrakech?

+

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Marrakech can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Marrakech and add a light layer if any part of the 48-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Zagora Desert Tour 2 days 1 night from Marrakech start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Marrakech within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Marrakech?

+

On Outty we rank every Marrakech experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Agafay Desert Quad Bike Camel Ride and Dinner Show, Best Marrakech to Fes Sahara Desert Tour with Camp & Camel Trek, 3 Day Marrakech to Merzouga Desert Tour Camel Rides and Overnight. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Marrakech?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Marrakech?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
