Not as advertised but still recommend.

There was no pick up from a hotel. No communication from the company. The bus that took us to Zagora was outdated and not well air conditioned. It was an extremely uncomfortable ride. The tents had electricity but no one thought to provide at least a standing electric fan for air circulation. The air in tents was so hot and stale, we had to sleep outside on a bench. The camp is next to a highway and not technically in the Sahara desert. This said, the staff who took care of the camels was extremely nice and accommodating and made up for all the inconvenience and lack of accommodations.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your review. We’re sorry that some aspects of the tour did not meet your expectations, and we will take your comments into account to improve transportation, communication, and tent comfort. We’re glad to hear that our camel staff made your experience more enjoyable. We always welcome honest feedback and strive to provide a professional and respectful experience for all our guests.

Solo, Zagora tour

It was great trip. Just expect to be in the car around 7-8 hours with few stops. On the way there we stopped at Ait Bin Haddou, spent an hour and a half over there, then had lunch and headed to the camp Zagora. I did camel ride so it took the group from drop off point to camp around 30-40 minutes. It was fun. I recommend to wear trainers and comfy clothes. Once we arrived at camp we had dinner after sunset( also when you arrive go straight to watch sunset!!!) around 9pm. Was traditional Moroccan food, pretty good. After we watched a little show, but everyone was exhausted. I had luxury tent (those tents separate from shared ones), i would suggest to pay more a little and get it. The night was pretty smooth, just very windy, as I figured it out during the day no wind but close to night windy, and called. But I had very warm blanket winter one in my tent. There were toilets staff also, there was no problem with it as I read before. In the morning there was sunrise but both so pretty as sunset for sure, so dont skip sunset. Around 7.15 am we had breakfast (eggs, coffee, lots of bread haha as typical moroccan breakfast), and headed back to out meeting point , where was waiting our driver. Wanna shout out to the driver LAHCEN, he was amazing, helpful. Very nice and kind, if you need to pray he will arrange it for you, just let him know, cause most of places just for men I would say for praying, and if you dont where hijab(like me) no one would know that you need it actually. Wanna say big thanks to him. So, on the way back i did movie place exploring where gladiator, prison break(season 5), ceasar etc were filmed. We got back to the hotel at 6.30 pm. So i even had time to enjoy sunset as usual at Jemma Fna panoramic view place. I would also recommend to get snacks with you, cause on the way there were just cookies, pastries, chocolates etc, no fruits at all, no yogurt etc, I wish they would have it at those stops. That was bad I think. Other than that everything was great. I enjoyed the trip, but I expected more from desert, just small patch of dune, I wouldnt do again it, but if it is on your wishlist (Sahara desert) and you are lack of time I would for sure recommend it to do. Just as i said expect to be in the car for long time. But the ride was good, not hot in the car, driver was nice about it.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind and detailed review! We're glad you enjoyed the trip, especially the stops at Ait Ben Haddou and the camp experience. Your tips will be really helpful for future travelers. We'll also share your lovely words with Lahcen—he’ll be so happy to hear them! Thanks again for choosing us!

It's been a great couple of days. Great driver. The excursions along the way to get to the desert very interesting. Beautiful tent where we stayed and exquisite dinner. A positive experience.

Zagora 2 Day Desert Safari and Luxury Camp From Marrakech: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Marrakech.

How much does Zagora 2 Day Desert Safari and Luxury Camp From Marrakech cost?

+

Prices start at $120 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Marrakech usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Zagora 2 Day Desert Safari and Luxury Camp From Marrakech take?

+

Plan for about 48 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Marrakech is not rushed.

Is Zagora 2 Day Desert Safari and Luxury Camp From Marrakech worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Marrakech, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Zagora 2 Day Desert Safari and Luxury Camp From Marrakech?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Zagora 2 Day Desert Safari and Luxury Camp From Marrakech suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 48-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Zagora 2 Day Desert Safari and Luxury Camp From Marrakech?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Marrakech can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Marrakech and add a light layer if any part of the 48-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Zagora 2 Day Desert Safari and Luxury Camp From Marrakech start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Marrakech within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Marrakech?

+

On Outty we rank every Marrakech experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Agafay Desert Quad Bike Camel Ride and Dinner Show, Best Marrakech to Fes Sahara Desert Tour with Camp & Camel Trek, 3 Day Marrakech to Merzouga Desert Tour Camel Rides and Overnight. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Marrakech?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Marrakech?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
