Cancelled, when we were already at the meeting point

Our conversation with the tour operator started good with regards to our photo shoot 10+ days before the schedule. Then she stopped messaging and replying. Even Viator tried reaching to her. The shoot was cancelled when we were already waiting for her at the meeting point. We understand that she had an emergency and left Georgia but a one-sentence cancellation message a day before the schedule would have been suffice. It would have been the professional thing to do. (We were tourists in Georgia and no option to reschedule.)

Portrait session in Tbilissi

While in Tbilisi I called on Jade for a photo session in picturesque corners. She is a fantastic model and knows the city like the back of her hand. We spent two afternoons together shooting superb portraits. I wholeheartedly recommend.

Interesting Tblisi

Tblisi has many features to see. Tblisi is the oldest city in Georgia and It is the capital of this country. The currency there is Lari. Also, their nationality is Georgian and their religion is mostly Christian. These days, tourism industry is very important in this city, beacause It is a major sources of revenue. There are great restaurants and local dishes are pretty delicious. Moreover, there are many options for accomodation that depends on you. You can stay in a hotel or a hostel. If you ask me, I prefer to stay in a great hotel like Embassadori and relaxed. In eddition, keep in mind you must book a hotel before entering this country beacause, they may deport you. Tblisi has defferent entertainment options like waterparks, zoos, night clubs, big malls and so on. I hope you enjoy your stay.

Pickpockets in Tblisi

Last of a 7 night stay in Tblisi and overall it was a good trip. Old Town is beautiful with plenty to see. However, the trip has been marred by not 1, not 2, but 3 separate pickpocket incidents in various locations around Old Town. The culprits were 6-member gangs of young undocumented girls, ranging in age between approximately 8 to 14. The gang of girls would rush up to me with each girl grabbing a different leg or arm and in the confusion one girl would reach into my pocket and try to take whatever she could get her hands on in the commotion. Fortunately, years in the military prepared me and I was able to prevent their well executed scheme from liberating me of my wallet or phone. After the the last attempt the gang moved on to a large groupof tourists and were able to snatch a woman's purse but one of the young thieves was caught by a bystander and the police were called. I highly encourage anyone visiting Tblisi to be vigilant and minimize the wear of valuables. Also, put your wallet and phone in your front pockets and women should put the purse strap around their head so it's not easily snatched off a shoulder. One final note, be on the lookout for any group of young girls congregating in areas young girls typically wouldn't be, such as tourist areas.
