Over charged.. I am demanding refund of $425. Advertising $352 for overnight from San Francisco to Yosemite and Charged me $771+ . I paid $352. directly to Crossroad for an additional day. Please Refund $425 over charged amount.
Response from the operator: Hello Mrs Chong, you paid Viator $ 777.44 I believe for 2 people. The per person price on Viator is $ 388.32 which includes Round trip Train, One night hotel and Full Day tour of Yosemite which includes Lunch, Park Fees and Gratuity. You requested additional night of stay and as per your request and the credit card information you paid us $ 176.00 for the 2nd night of stay in the hotel. I am not sure where the error is. You have only paid Crossroads for the 2nd night of stay which is $ 176 the rest of the money you paid is to Viator. You told me you were so happy with the tour as you were traveling back to San Francisco and you would recommend our tour to everyone. I hope you check the prices of our tours again on line just to make sure you didn't get charged anything extra. Thanks ramji

Amazing natural wonders a jaw dropping experience
This was a great way to see Yosemite. Train transfer from San Fransisco was straigtforward but note that you must get the Amtrak shuttle bus (included in your ticket) to the train station in Oakland before connecting with the train to Fresno. The hotel provides a shuttle service in Fresno and the accomodation was fine but be aware that the day of the Yosemite tour starts early. Tour was excellent with the guide well informed but the distances covered take a long time due to the size of Yosemite. Interesting packed lunch with good sized sandwich but there is an option to get lunch at the hotel restaurant in Yousemite. Lots to see & pack into a day but worth it. Note that you need to leave the park in good time to make the train connection for the return journey.

Excellent tour
We had a wonderful trip to Yosemite. Everything was well organised with plenty of time given at each spot to take photos or to just simply stand and admire the stunning scenery. Plenty of useful information was given and our driver was very friendly and helpful. He did everything possible to ensure that we got the most out of our trip. Thank you.

Yosemite Tour from San Francisco by Buss and Train
Our guide from Crossroads was everything anyone could have asked for. The weather kept us from seeing many of the parts of the park we had hoped to see, but he was so comfortable in the Valley that he showed us portions that would not have been on the regular tour. Totally amazing day and well worth the price! If you book thru Viator, be careful. There was a train schedule change that caused us to miss it. Amtrak told us Viator had beed notified two weeks before. We were not!!! Luckily there was a later Train that got us to our hotel in Fresno by 12:00 midnight. We were picked up the next morning at 6:30. Not a good start. Viator's Web Site does not give all of the information that is needed nor does it keep you informed of changes. I do not know if this is the responsibility of Crossroads or Viator, but beware!
Response from the operator: Trains are operated by Amtrak and their schedules are subject to change. We recommend all clients to check schedules the day before. We are glad you enjoyed the park. Thank you for visiting

Why this scores 45
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Yosemite and Glacier Point Tour from San Francisco by Amtrak: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Fresno.
How much does Yosemite and Glacier Point Tour from San Francisco by Amtrak cost?
+
Prices start at $589 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Fresno usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Yosemite and Glacier Point Tour from San Francisco by Amtrak take?
+
Plan for about 48 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Fresno is not rushed.
Is Yosemite and Glacier Point Tour from San Francisco by Amtrak worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 45 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.8/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable outdoors in Fresno, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Yosemite and Glacier Point Tour from San Francisco by Amtrak?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Yosemite and Glacier Point Tour from San Francisco by Amtrak suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 48-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Yosemite and Glacier Point Tour from San Francisco by Amtrak?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Fresno can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Fresno and add a light layer if any part of the 48-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Yosemite and Glacier Point Tour from San Francisco by Amtrak start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Fresno within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Fresno?
+
Fresno, CA packs its best experiences into walkable neighborhoods, local food, and day trips nearby. Outty ranks every bookable tour and activity in Fresno by rating quality, review depth, booking demand and value, so you can see the standouts before you book. On Outty we rank every Fresno experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Self-Guided Audio Driving Tour in Sequoia and Kings Canyon, Semi Private Tour to Sequoia National Park with Lunch, Private Yosemite & Glacier Point SUV / Van Tour Including Hotel Pickup. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Fresno?
+
Spring and fall bring the best weather and lighter crowds in Fresno, while summer has the widest choice of tours and evening activities. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Fresno?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
