York City Pass
Pre-booking for many activities is required and planning to avoid disappointment. A number of the activities were already full or in the case of the Taste of Chocolate not open all day at the time of our visit.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry that some activities were fully booked and that the opening hours of Taste of Chocolate affected your plans. We understand how important clear information and availability are when planning your visit, and we appreciate you sharing your experience with us. Best regards, Your Turbopass Team

A lot of value in a few days
Great value for money. As some attractions require booking in advance (and, like the hilt, have limited availability) prepare your visit. Some 7 days in advance should be perfectly fine. Also, some attractions are not within Yorick City Limits so could require you to organise transport. We've done "The Hilt" (absolute go to 4 your viking experience), Cliffords Tower & Museum and the Minster (archeology), the "Cruise" (is somewhat overrated, best planned as a lunch break thing), Bird of Prey zoo (very nice, although 60 minutes drive from York), York Viking Museum (more history-entertainment) and the "you should definitely do" - Ragnell Hagathorn guided walk - by dusk. I think the 3 out of 6 days is probably a good one as it will give you some time to plan better.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful 5-star review! ⭐️ We love hearing how much you explored with your York City Pass! Your tips about booking ahead and planning transport are really helpful for future visitors. It sounds like you had a fantastic mix of history, adventure and unique experiences. Thanks for sharing your favourites, and we hope to welcome you again with Turbopass on your next city trip!

3 Day York Pass
This was such a great thing to have and we visited a few of the attractions saving quite a bit of money. We also took advantage of using the passes to get money of at some food places. When I first bought the 2 x 3 day passes they didn't appear in my email although the money was taken of and I was a bit worried but when I phoned the company the girl I spoke to was very reassuring and looked into it and called me back to confirm that there had been a delay in them being processed and the passes were okay and now showing in my email. I t was definitely a very handy thing to have. We would've like to have visited more of the attractions available but we were only there for 3 days. Definitely something we would use again and knowing our way around York would be able to probably go to more things
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your lovely 5-star review! ⭐️ We’re really happy you enjoyed the York City Pass and saved money along the way. Sorry for the initial ticket delay, but it’s wonderful to hear our team could quickly put your mind at ease. York has so much to discover, and we’d love to welcome you back to explore even more next time!

Wonderful and will be coming in November!
The York city pass is worth every single penny you pay for the amount of money you save is through the roof. Normally in York for an experience you'll be looking at 18-25 pound each. This is perfect for any couple who are thinking to come to York for the first time or a big family who want to take to kids away for 2-3 days. York has everything you can think of and the atmosphere from the experiences you go to is second to none! Yes, I had one problem with my York city pass but the experience of the advisor who helped me was amazing and I'm grateful for the help.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this wonderful review! ⭐️ We’re thrilled that you found the York City Pass such great value and enjoyed exploring the city. We’re especially happy our advisor could help resolve the issue and make your experience better. We hope to welcome you again with Turbopass on your next city trip! 😊

Fantastic value and easy to use codes
Absolutely amazing value for the 3 day pass. Plan your trip carefully and you can save a fortune! Loads to see: river cruise was short but enjoyable. Cliffords tower, Jorvik viking centre, York museum, and the dungeon were brilliant. Saw loads more and the guys on the buses (Mark and Josh the driver, red bus) were so helpful.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your lovely 5-star review! ⭐️ We’re thrilled you got so much out of your York City Pass and enjoyed discovering so many fantastic attractions. We’ll gladly share your kind words with Mark and Josh, too! 😊 We hope to welcome you again with Turbopass on your next city trip!

+

How far in advance should I book York City Pass Access more than 35+ Attractions & Hop On Hop Off?
+
Around 18 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in York can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in York and add a light layer if any part of the 24-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

+
On Outty we rank every York experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mad Alice’s The Bloody Tour of York -Best Tour Award Europe, The Deathly Dark Tour of York, Shadows of York: Ghost Walk and Horrible History.. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit York?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in York?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
