    What you'll see and do

    1. Jomblang Cave

Jomblang Cave offers a captivating adventure with unique natural wonders. Its entrance is a massive vertical sinkhole, about 50 meters wide, hiding a lush "ancient forest" at its base, thriving under natural light – a truly surreal sight. The highlight is the "Light of Heaven" phenomenon. In the main chamber of Grubug Cave, connected by a tunnel, ethereal sunbeams pierce through the ceiling, illuminating the dark space below. These "heavenly" rays create a magical, otherworldly atmosphere, dancing on ancient rock formations, stalactites, and stalagmites, offering incredible photo opportunities. Beyond these spectacles, visitors can marvel at unique geological formations, like towering stalactites and stalagmites, formed over millennia. The entire journey, from the thrilling vertical descent to exploring the dark tunnels and witnessing the light, delivers an unforgettable sense of adventure and exploration, revealing a hidden world beneath the surface.

Here, you'll float along a scenic outdoor river, passing lush cliffs and small waterfalls. Best tour and guides!

I was traveling alone when I found this tour in Yogyakarta. When I booked, I met and joined another traveler on the day of the tour. We were both driven by Juan, our fantastic driver and guide, who was very helpful and punctual. On the way, he also gave us mineral water and played good music in the car. Jomblang Cave was truly amazing and astonishing. It's a definite must-do adventure when you're in Yogyakarta. Exploring Pindul Cave and going river tubing was also a really fun and exciting experience. Overall, this tour is very much worth booking, and you should prepare cash to pay for the tickets and entrance fees at both locations. Don't worry, though, because the driver will help you. Really recommended! 10/10

Response from the operator: Thank you so much, Jung, for your amazing review! We're so happy to hear you had such a fantastic time on our tour. We love that you enjoyed exploring Jomblang and Pindul Caves and that our driver, Juan, made your trip so comfortable and enjoyable. It’s great to know that his punctuality, helpfulness, and even the music selection made a positive impact on your experience. Your recommendation means the world to us! We always strive to provide memorable and stress-free adventures for solo travelers and small groups. We're glad you found the tour worth it and hope to see you again for another adventure in Indonesia!

Yogyakarta: Jomblang and Pindul Cave Private Tour With Transfer: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Yogyakarta.

How much does Yogyakarta: Jomblang and Pindul Cave Private Tour With Transfer cost?

    +

Prices start at $35 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Yogyakarta usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Yogyakarta: Jomblang and Pindul Cave Private Tour With Transfer take?

    +

Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Yogyakarta is not rushed.

Is Yogyakarta: Jomblang and Pindul Cave Private Tour With Transfer worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Yogyakarta, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Yogyakarta: Jomblang and Pindul Cave Private Tour With Transfer?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Yogyakarta: Jomblang and Pindul Cave Private Tour With Transfer suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Yogyakarta: Jomblang and Pindul Cave Private Tour With Transfer?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Yogyakarta can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Yogyakarta and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Yogyakarta: Jomblang and Pindul Cave Private Tour With Transfer start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Yogyakarta within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Yogyakarta?

    +

On Outty we rank every Yogyakarta experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Yogyakarta Private Car Hire with Driver, From Surabaya / Malang : Mt Bromo Sunrise - Ijen Blue Fire 2D1N, Borobudur Full Climb Up And Prambanan ALL INCLUSIVE PRIVATE Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Yogyakarta?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Yogyakarta?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
