    Wonderful tour

Communication before the trip was so easy. Every email and question was answered quickly and thoroughly. Our guide, Kevin, was excellent. His knowledge of the area and history of the area made our trip even better.

Response from the operator: We are thrilled to hear you had a great time on tour! Thank you for your review and kind words about Kevin. We will let him know what you said!

    Inspirational!

The wildlife and views were amazing (we saw wolves, moose, foxes, coyotes, bald eagles, mountain goats, bighorns, antelope, bison, and even a mountain lion!) But, the best parts of the tour were the BrushBuck guides, Dallin and Cade. They were extremely knowledgeable, entertaining, personable, professional, and passionate about wildlife. We look forward to more tours with BrushBuck!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing all the amazing sights you were able to see while on tour! We can't wait to see you for another tour!

Hands down best Tetons and Yellowstone tour

I don’t feel like a quick review could begin to explain the lifetime of memories this trip created. Our guide Mark was the best guide we have ever had. Dozens of other trips other places don’t hold a candle to this. The amount of knowledge and planning he did to make our trip and memories complete wasn’t lost on us. Clearly the folks at brush buck are running a first class operation. We saw so many beautiful animals, parts of the park but learned just as much as we saw. Adventure of s lifetime right here in the lower 48!! I’ve been twice before but this was next level on expectations exceeded by any measurement. We will definitely do their Alaska tour and possibly Africa.

Response from the operator: Thank you for this amazing review! We are so excited to hear that you saw some amazing sights and made some unforgettable memories on tour with Mark! We would love to see you in Alaska and Africa!

Response from the operator: We are so happy you had a great day full of amazing memories while on tour with Kevin! We hope to see you again on tour!

Fabulous Winter Wolf and Wildlife Viewing in Yellowstone National Park

This tour was fabulous! We saw wolves every day as well as other wildlife that live in the Park. Our Guide Neil was energetic, enthusiastic, and could find the animals from miles away. He took excellent care of us. Without him we would have seen very little. The van was comfortable and our group including us consisted of 5 people. They provided water, soft drinks and snacks. February is breeding season so the wolves were very active and we even saw up to 10 at one time. We were lucky to have fantastic weather which no one can control. It was cold with morning ambient temperatures down to -13 one morning and highs below freezing Much of the 12 hour days was spent outside the van looking for and watching wildlife. Be prepared to dress accordingly. Gardiner and Cooke City are small communities with limited but clean, very adequate accommodations as well as restaurant choices. The tour was well organized and they had excellent equipment from binoculars to spotting scopes. I would highly recommend the Yellowstone Winter Wolf and Wildlife Tour to anyone who loves wildlife. It is one of my favorite trips. This was the second time we have used Brushbuck and are even looking into their Africa Safari.

Response from the operator: We truly appreciate your continued support of our company! We love where we get to live and work and get so excited when our guests fall in love with it too! We look forward to maybe see you in Africa!

Yellowstone Wolves and Winter 4Day/3Night Adventure from Montana: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Gardiner.

How much does Yellowstone Wolves and Winter 4Day/3Night Adventure from Montana cost?

    +

Prices start at $2089 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Gardiner usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Yellowstone Wolves and Winter 4Day/3Night Adventure from Montana take?

    +

Plan for about 96 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Gardiner is not rushed.

Is Yellowstone Wolves and Winter 4Day/3Night Adventure from Montana worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 14 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Gardiner, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Yellowstone Wolves and Winter 4Day/3Night Adventure from Montana?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Yellowstone Wolves and Winter 4Day/3Night Adventure from Montana suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 96-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Yellowstone Wolves and Winter 4Day/3Night Adventure from Montana?

    +

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Gardiner can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Gardiner and add a light layer if any part of the 96-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Yellowstone Wolves and Winter 4Day/3Night Adventure from Montana start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Gardiner within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Gardiner?

    +

Gardiner sits at Yellowstone's only year-round entrance: Mammoth Hot Springs tours, Lamar Valley wolf and bison safaris at dawn, rafting on the Yellowstone River and winter wildlife trips. On Outty we rank every Gardiner experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Montana Whitewater Half Day Raft Trip - Yellowstone River, 2 Hour Rafting on the Yellowstone River, Guided Yellowstone Wildlife Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Gardiner?

    +

June to September, plus January to February for wolf watching. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Gardiner?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
