    Money very well spent

Very positive experience. If you want to see wildlife other than bison, you really need to make the effort to wake up very early in the morning, but it’s absolutely worth it. The guide is extremely knowledgeable and knows exactly where to go to spot bears, wolves, coyotes, and other animals you would almost never find on your own. I appreciated that he explained what was necessary without being intrusive or talking too much, so we could enjoy the day without having to listen to an overload of information. He also provides professional optics that allow everyone to observe at the same time, while the monocular on the tripod is used to take photos with your phone, which are shared with you at the end of the day. We also took a safe one‑hour walk, discovering landscapes we wouldn’t have been able to see otherwise. Yellowstone is huge, and having a guide is essential to avoid wandering around aimlessly hoping to find animals. Money very well spent.

Response from the operator: I want to sincerely thank you for both supporting our national Park systems with your private tour and our business. So pleased to hear that you found the value in your Private tour. Happy trails and safe travels to you!

    Excellent tour of Yellowstone

We just had our wildlife tour with Yellowstone exposures LLC. Kyle was an amazing guy. Showed up right on time with plenty of snacks and coffee to start the morning off. Immediately started informing us showing his expert knowledge of the ecosystem within Yellowstone. He went out of his way to find us the animals we were searching for. He was excellent at identifying them and when need be getting them in a spotting scope so we could get a better look. Five out of five stars. Everyone needs to try this tour.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your support in our business and our wonderful national park systems with your private tour today! Between the bull moose and that black Wolf I can’t pick out what my favorite sighting of the day was! Happy trails and safe travels out there! Until next time, my friends.

    Knowledge guide

Guide was knowledgeable but it was a ton of time in the car without a lot of animal sittings aside from the bisons which are everywhere. Wished we could she hiked more to mix up the day. The kids were tired of being in the car, especially after the hour drive to the meeting point:

Response from the operator: Hey Laura thank you for your feedback. Yellowstone is a massive park system and in order to get to all the different areas to witness different species of animals it does take a lot of time driving through the park unfortunately. Sorry to have let your children down on your private tour. Hope you all enjoyed the rest of your stay in Yellowstone! Happy trails.

Great experience! Personalized for your group! Not your standard cookie cutter tour.

This was a great experience! Kyle’s knowledge of the area and animals of the park made the trip interesting. He tailored the tour to try to find the animals we were most interested in. The tour was a good pace and we never felt rushed. We could stay as long or as little at a stop depending on what decided to make an appearance. We highly recommend Kyle and his tour!

Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. I really appreciate it. We also want to Sincerel thank you for supporting Our wonderful national park system with your private tour today! So pleased to hear that you all had such a wonderful time! Happy trails!

    Wonderful experience!

At first I thought this was a lot of money, but during I realized it was money well spent. We saw 3 grizzly bears that had we not been with Kyle we wouldn't have ever saw them. He did all of the driving, PARKING, picking up, made us lunch and answered every question we had about the park. Then all of the pics Kyle took he shared with us. Very impressed! Thank you! We will definitely do this again!!

Response from the operator: We sure did well with the Bears, especially with how hot it’s been! What a wonderful Wildlife/Scenic wonders we got to share. Thank you so much for joining me And allowing me to show you all around!

Yellowstone National Park Private Wildlife Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Yellowstone National Park.

How much does Yellowstone National Park Private Wildlife Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $1000 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Yellowstone National Park usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Yellowstone National Park Private Wildlife Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Yellowstone National Park is not rushed.

Is Yellowstone National Park Private Wildlife Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 102 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Yellowstone National Park, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Yellowstone National Park Private Wildlife Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Yellowstone National Park Private Wildlife Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Yellowstone National Park Private Wildlife Tour?

    +

Around 36 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Yellowstone National Park can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Yellowstone National Park and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Yellowstone National Park Private Wildlife Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Yellowstone National Park within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Yellowstone National Park?

    +

Yellowstone tours run geyser basins and Grand Prismatic, Lamar Valley wolf and bison watching at dawn, photography workshops and winter snowcoach trips. Distances inside the park are enormous, so itinerary honesty matters more than anything else. On Outty we rank every Yellowstone National Park experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full-Day Guided Yellowstone Day Tour, Lower Loop Van Tour from West Yellowstone: Grand Prismatic and Old Faithful, Lake Yellowstone Half Day Kayak Tours Past Geothermal Features. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Yellowstone National Park?

    +

May to September, plus December to March for snowcoach tours. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Yellowstone National Park?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
