Nice Mexico visit

Great experience with our guides Gerson, Eliasar, and Francisco! Highly recommend this tour for a truly authentic and varied experience. We discovered different activities throughout the day and got to experience many aspects of Mexican culture, traditions, food, and local life. The guides were very knowledgeable and made the whole day unforgettable! From the French, Holland and Chilean family

A must-do tour

Our guide Gerson & driver Hipólito were wonderful. Hipólito managed the crazy traffic to Coyoacán & Xochimilco & back expertly & cautiously while Gerson’s boundless knowledge about Mexico’s history captivated us at every site. He provided helpful tips about food & museums to visit too. We loved Coyoacán & would like to go back to spend more time exploring. The trajinera ride in Xochimilco was so much fun in spite of the thunderstorm. Would highly recommend this particular tour to anyone looking to experience Mexico City to the fullest!

Ruined a day of vacation by not showing up

I can't really comment on the tour, as they simply did not show up at the appointed time and place. I sent emails and texts in the days before, but heard nothing from them. I called the phone number, but there was no option to even leave a voicemail. Finally, five hours after they didn't show up they responded to my email from two days earlier claiming that they had told me the trip could not go forward as planned. I have no record of any such communication, and in any event they should have responded to my email if that were the case. An entire day of a family vacation ruined.

Response from the operator: Dear 255bartt, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are very sorry to hear about your experience and understand how disappointing this situation must have felt for you and your family. From our side, we would like to clarify that, unfortunately, the tour could not be operated in the original modality you had booked. For this reason, our team contacted you on at least two occasions, more than 10 days in advance, to inform you of the situation and to offer the same tour in a shared-group format as an alternative. All these communications are documented in Viator’s internal chat. We did not receive any response to these messages, which led us to believe that the proposed alternative was not suitable for you. Based on the information recorded in the system, the service could not proceed as scheduled. The corresponding refund has already been processed through Viator. Best regards from the Quality Department of Amigo Tours.

Highlight of our first Mexico City trip

My wife and I had an amazing experience with my private tour guide- Hector Montreal Aragon. From start to finish, he was knowledgeable, friendly, and incredibly attentive. His interpretations regarding Murals in UNAM, Frida Kayla Museum and Xochimilco boat ride are very impressive. His readiness to answer our every question truly made our tour special. The entire day was smooth, well organized. I highly recommend this guide to anyone looking for a personalized, informative, and memorable experience. Absolutely exceptional!

Response from the operator: Dear kevinlR1383MK We appreciate the time you took to share with us this positive comment about our guide, and we are happy to know that your good work has made you enjoy this visit. We hope to welcome you on another tour again! Kind regards from Amigo Tours. -Alma

Xochimilco & Coyoacan with Frida Kahlo Private Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Mexico City.

How much does Xochimilco & Coyoacan with Frida Kahlo Private Tour cost?

+

Prices start at $90 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Mexico City usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Xochimilco & Coyoacan with Frida Kahlo Private Tour take?

+

Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Mexico City is not rushed.

Is Xochimilco & Coyoacan with Frida Kahlo Private Tour worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 75 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 125 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Mexico City, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Xochimilco & Coyoacan with Frida Kahlo Private Tour?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Xochimilco & Coyoacan with Frida Kahlo Private Tour suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 9-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Xochimilco & Coyoacan with Frida Kahlo Private Tour?

+

Around 44 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Mexico City can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Mexico City and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Xochimilco & Coyoacan with Frida Kahlo Private Tour start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Mexico City within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Mexico City?

+

On Outty we rank every Mexico City experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Frida Kahlo VIP [Museum Tickets Included] Walk, Markets & Churros, Local Foodie Adventure CDMX: Tacos & more with Sherpa Food Tours, Mexico City Historical Centre Food Tour with 7 Tastings & Drinks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Mexico City?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Mexico City?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
