- We guarantee 100% No Shopping Stops in our tours. When you check some other tours, if they don't mention no shopping, they MUST have commissioned based shopping stops as terracotta warriors factory or tea ceremony. Even you don't see shopping related words in their itineraries or product introduction, it is indeed a shopping tour. Be sure to check out with them about the shopping stops and read reviews from their clients carefully to see what the real experience would be. By joining a shopping tour like that, your time spent on attractions will be shortened, and you will be pressured to buy overpriced items. Normally the so called terracotta warriors factory or tea ceremony is the tourist trap. You have to stay there an hour or more for those travel agents to get the commission from the factory stores. If you prefer to enjoy the tour thoroughly, you are suggested to choose a tour without any annoying shopping stops just like ours.
- Please provide the correct passport information for booking the real-name entrance tickets. And also please make sure to carry the same identification for entry while traveling. Otherwise, entry might not be permitted. If you forgot your passport and need to get back to fetch it, please pay for the transport and later meet the group by yourself.
- The itinerary schedule or sightseeing order may be adjusted according to the traffic on the tour day.
- Public Holidays: Please aware there will be large crowds and heavy traffic in Chinese public holidays like May Day from May 1st to 5th and National Day from Oct 1st to 7th. We will do the best to arrange the tour.
- Please wear comfortable walking shoes.
- This supplier also offers multi-day tours. Please search the supplier's name to check its tour list.

One of the best tour guides we've ever had!
“Travel China Guide Tours” guide Carol spent the day with us as we experienced the Terra Cotta Warriors and the City Wall around old Xi’an. The “Travel China Guide” company had been recommended to us by several staff members at the Shekou International School in Shenzhen. We were very glad we took their advice! Our guide Carol, who is a lifelong resident of Xi’an presented us with endless information during the ride out of Xi’an to the UNESCO site. This made the trip to the site go quickly as we sat in rapt attention to Carol’s insights. She afforded us an in-depth understanding of the history of Xi’an and the surrounding area. In all of our travels our guide in Peru and Carol on this trip are tied as #1 in our book. The reason is both are well-versed in their knowledge of and ability to relate that information to us in an interesting and clear manner. Once we arrived at the Terra Cotta Warriors it was soon apparent that Carol knew how to move efficiently through the many groups of tourists. We slipped between buildings avoiding much of the ‘tourist trap’ shops, making a beeline to the important parts of the site. This allowed us to maximize the time we had to see the Warriors and educational displays and minimize the commercial distractions. Carol took us to the preferred traditional noodle restaurant for lunch and even helped translate my special dietary needs. If you are going to Xi’an you should definitely consider a tour with Travel China Guide Tours. And if you are lucky you can request Carol (WeChat: Carolchen08) as your guide!!! AAA+ experience!!
Response from the operator: Dear pgwisn, Thanks for your positive feedback on Tripadvisor and it is delightful that our tour guide Carol has met your requirement during your Xi'an tour. We are committed to building the best service team all the time and your recognition is our biggest driving force of improving. We do hope you will chose our company again and wish you a good day!

Terracotta Army
This tour was absolutely wonderful!!! If you are visiting the Terracotta Army you MUST request Celine as your tour guide. She is so knowledgeable and very accommodating to what you want. She made this tour even more amazing than what it already with explaining the history and all of the details. Her love for history made this tour that much better. I also recommend doing a private tour just because it was more personal and at your own pace.
Response from the operator: Dear Trangalangnewwin, Thank you for choosing our company to arrange your Xi'an tour. We are excited to read that our service met your expectation and left you a good impression. Your valuable support is very much appreciated. We all expect to meet you again and please feel free to let us know if you need any further help. Have a nice day!

Excellent day tour with Tracy
This day tour was part of a private 15 day tour booked through Travel China Guide. Our whole experience with this company was excellent, and our day with Tracy in Xi'an was no exception. All aspects of the listed tour were enjoyable, the driver was great and the car very comfortable for our group of 4. Tracy was a wonderful guide to spend the day with - she was very enthusiastic, spoke excellent English and was thoroughly organised at each location - we never felt rushed, and were able to spend as much time as we wanted exploring at our own pace. The Terracotta Warriors exhibit was over the top crowded, but quite breathtaking and beautifully laid out. Tracy somehow negotiated quick entry and exit away from the crowds - another big positive for taking an experienced guide rather than going solo. Our favourite part of the day was probably Muslim Street - I wasn't sure what to expect there, but Tracey gave us some bargaining tips and we thoroughly enjoyed pottering about the markets, and strolling along the streets experiencing the sights and smells of some rather unusual food vendors (and trying to pick exactly what some of those foods were !) Had some great ice-cream there too (yum) and met a couple of young Chinese girls who wanted to practice their English - lots of giggles and photos were had on both sides. Thanks Tracy for giving us a brilliant day in Xi'an xxx
Response from the operator: Dear ComoCat, How kind of you to have posted this inspiring review! Thank you for giving us a 5-rating. We are grateful for your review on our service, especially your guide Tracy. We are proud of having such a professional and attentive tour guide who always make her great efforts to provide high-quality service. Your satisfaction is the best reward for them and all efforts we have done to make your trip smooth are worthwhile. Thank you again for your encouragement to our work. It is our sincere hope that you will join us to explore other holiday destinations in China again soon!

Why this scores 66
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Xian Day Tour to Terracotta Warriors from Beijing, with City Wall: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Xian.
How much does Xian Day Tour to Terracotta Warriors from Beijing, with City Wall cost?
+
Prices start at $199 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Xian usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Xian Day Tour to Terracotta Warriors from Beijing, with City Wall take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Xian is not rushed.
Is Xian Day Tour to Terracotta Warriors from Beijing, with City Wall worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 20 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Xian, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Xian Day Tour to Terracotta Warriors from Beijing, with City Wall?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Xian Day Tour to Terracotta Warriors from Beijing, with City Wall suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Xian Day Tour to Terracotta Warriors from Beijing, with City Wall?
+
Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Xian can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Xian and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Xian Day Tour to Terracotta Warriors from Beijing, with City Wall start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Xian within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Xian?
+
On Outty we rank every Xian experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Xi'an Day Tour: Terracotta Army&Optional City Attractions, All-Inclusive Terracotta Army Tour with Premium Buffet Lunch, 2-Day Customized Warriors Tours & Xian Top Attractions. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Xian?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Xian?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
