Beautiful scenery and wine tasting. Quaint little town.

Was so worth the price we paid. Had a fabulous guide Jakob. He told us about everything on our drive. Small town we stopped at for a cake and cappacino. A little shopping and touring the town along with a small winery where we had home made mustard and tasted their wine. Followed by tasting at a much bigger winery with an amazing view.

Highlight of our stay in Zagreb

My fiancé and I had such a good time with Jakov!! His knowledge of Croatian history and the surrounding countries was unbelievable, and he weaved in interesting stories and little facts as we strolled along in Samobor or drove through the beautiful vineyards. There was never a moment that wasn’t fun! He has such a great sense of humor and his passion for leading tour guides is wonderful. It’s clear he has so much experience as a tour guide and really is so great at what he does. We felt like we could’ve been old friends with him by the end of the day, and we’re so glad we had this opportunity. It was definitely the highlight of our stay in Zagreb!!

Response from the operator: Dear Catherine, thank you for your kind words and review, I am grateful that you guys had courage to travel in this crazy times when the world is fighting Corona pandemic and to do tour with The Guide, as the travel industry is fighting to recover from 2020 we will keep going and give our best to deliver experiences to our guests on the wings of your words. Take care and hope to see you soon in Croatia again. best regards Jakov

Wine tour review - excellent experience!

Jakov was fun, entertaining, and knowledgeable and passionate about the history of Croatia. The most fun part of the tour was viewing the Croatian wine country. We would definitely recommend Jakov and his tours to anyone who wants to experience Croatia.

Response from the operator: Dear Eric, thank you for your review , its great to know that your experience with the guide was worth the time and money. Hope to see and tour you guys again sometime in the future. You definitely have a friend in Croatia now. Best regards Jakov

Wine Road Day Tour from Zagreb: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Zagreb.

How much does Wine Road Day Tour from Zagreb cost?

    +

Prices start at $225 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Zagreb usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Wine Road Day Tour from Zagreb take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Zagreb is not rushed.

Is Wine Road Day Tour from Zagreb worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Zagreb, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Wine Road Day Tour from Zagreb?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Wine Road Day Tour from Zagreb suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Wine Road Day Tour from Zagreb?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Zagreb can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Zagreb and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Wine Road Day Tour from Zagreb start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Zagreb within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Zagreb?

    +

On Outty we rank every Zagreb experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Communism & Croatian Homeland War Tour, Zagreb Highlights: Old Town, WWII tunnels, Funicular & Tastings, Old Zagreb Private Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Zagreb?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Zagreb?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
