Great day
The customer care experience was if the highest standard. Carmen answered e mails promptly and efficiently, my rendezvous point was changed to reflect the distance of my hotel On the day there was a member of our party missed but arrangement was made swiftly for them to join us. Our driver was Giuseppe, I can't praise him enough, an excellent driver (driving in Naples is madness) and even though he weaved through traffic with what felt like inches to spare and navigated the road up the volcano we felt completely at ease, all this he did while pointing out places of interest, recommending places to eat and playing DJ! The vineyard was good but could have been so much better. Lunch was bland, a plain pasta sauce could have been elevated with basil and parmesan. It was served with wine, this was the tasting but I wanted to know about the Campania region, the grape varieties, the growing conditions the vineyards most popular ( probably the Christi Del Versuvio Rosso? Are the labels made on site how difficult would it be to make a souvenir wine label ( I would have loved this!) Versuvius was an incredible experience, considering the temperature on the day was 29° it was cold and in the clouds, views were breathtaking and the little Italian Wall Lizards were fun to watch Truly memorable day
Response from the operator: Dear Andrea, Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a detailed and thoughtful review. It's always our goal to provide prompt and personalized assistance, and we're glad you felt well taken care of. We're also happy to hear that Giuseppe made your journey so enjoyable – we’ll be sure to pass on your kind words to him. We also sincerely appreciate your feedback regarding the vineyard visit. Your suggestions about enhancing the lunch experience and providing more in-depth information about the wines and the Campania region are incredibly valuable. We agree that learning about the local grapes, winemaking process, and even offering a small souvenir like a wine label would add a special touch to the experience. We'll certainly share your comments with our partners at the vineyard for future improvements. Thank you again for your trust and for helping us improve. We hope to welcome you back for another adventure soon! Warm regards, Carmen :)

Incredible Experience
This excursion was amazing!! The wine tasting wasn’t really a true wine tasting but overall it was great. It was very convenient being picked up and dropped off from our hotel, and the entrance fee to the actual volcano was included. Our guides were amazing, so knowledgeable, so friendly, and went out of their way to make sure we had an amazing experience. I highly recommend this day trip, it was more than worth it!

Not as expected
Not exactly a wine tasting, more an expensive transfer to mount Vesuvius with a lunch that includes a little bit of wine and not including entry ticket to the volcano. The team were lovely and friendly but the experience is massively oversold!
Response from the operator: Dear Katherine, thanks for your feedback. Please note that in our tour description is mentioned that entrance fees are not included. Thanks for your feedback about the wine tasting. We will certainly try to improve the service in this respect and we hope to have you again as our guest. Kind Regards

How far in advance should I book Wine Experience at a Vineyard on the slopes ofVesuvius?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Naples can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Naples and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Naples within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Naples?
+
On Outty we rank every Naples experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full Day Private Amalfi Coast Tour from Sorrento/Naples/Salerno, Caserta Royal Palace & Gardens Small Group Tour with Shuttle, Naples Pizza and Tiramisu Cooking Class. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Naples?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Naples?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
