    Winery tour guide

Jeremiah did an excellent job driving us to the wineries and telling us about their history, facilities, reputation and how they operated. He gave us advice on their wine tasting processes.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your kind words, their much appreciated!

Extremely custom tour. Excellent experience. Great customer service.

Jeremiah planned the perfect day for my family of six to enjoy a personalized food and wine tour visiting the three vineyards that we wanted to see. Because two of the vineyards were close to the house we were renting he arranged for our driver, Minette, to pick us up at the house and drop us off there. It was the perfect day. Monette was a great driver with a fun , sweet, outgoing, personality. She was awesome. The Infinity SUV she drove was large enough for all six adults to fit very comfortably. Ole Crow Tours went out of their way to make sure that the day worked perfectly for us - even scheduling a stop by the house midday so we could let our pup out for a few minutes before heading back out on the rest of the tour. They were so accommodating. I highly recommend this company if you would like to schedule a private custom tour of any wineries in the Charlottesville area.

Response from the operator: Wow, thank you so much! It was our absolute pleasure working with you and your family in making sure that your tour went as best as possible. Thank you again, come back and see us sometime soon!

Lovely day in the wine region

Ben did an excellent job, giving us local information as we traveled from wineries. We were confused from the the description of the tour thinking we had Culinary & Wine tasting as part of the package, after we learned it only covered transportation, we were able to get a table and had a wonderful experience

Response from the operator: I'm so glad that you all still had a great time despite the confusion at the beginning. I appreciate you addressing this issue with our tour description and I will be making the needed changes to improve it. Thank you again!

    What an experience!

Jeremiah was an excellent tour guide. We had to make an adjustment to the normal tour due to a private event at one of the places. So we went to Barboursville instead. Jeremiah made the reservations for us and took us to a few different wineries after that. He was extremely friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable about the area. It was such a great experience for me and my girlfriend. Would definitely take this tour again! Thanks Jeremiah!

Response from the operator: Well thank you so much David, I really appreciate that! I'm so glad that the two of you had such a wonderful time. Good luck with everything, and come back and see us some time.

Wine and Culinary Delight Private Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Charlottesville.

How much does Wine and Culinary Delight Private Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $248 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Charlottesville usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Wine and Culinary Delight Private Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Charlottesville is not rushed.

Is Wine and Culinary Delight Private Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Charlottesville, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Wine and Culinary Delight Private Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Wine and Culinary Delight Private Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Wine and Culinary Delight Private Tour?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Charlottesville can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Charlottesville and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Wine and Culinary Delight Private Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Charlottesville within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Charlottesville?

    +

Charlottesville, VA packs its best experiences into walkable neighborhoods, local food, and day trips nearby. Outty ranks every bookable tour and activity in Charlottesville by rating quality, review depth, booking demand and value, so you can see the standouts before you book. On Outty we rank every Charlottesville experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Virginia Private Custom Wine Tour from Charlottesville, Shenandoah National Park Self-Guided Driving Audio Tour, Private Charlottesville Area Wine Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Charlottesville?

    +

Spring and fall bring the best weather and lighter crowds in Charlottesville, while summer has the widest choice of tours and evening activities. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Charlottesville?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
