Included in the list are threatened, rare and endemic species such as the Sri Lankan elephant, Sri Lankan sloth bear, Sri Lankan leopard, Sri Lankan axis deer, tufted grey langur, water buffalo, sambhur, spotted deer, painted stork, the open bill, little cormorant, Sri Lankan junglefowl, garganey, pintail, whistling teal, spoonbill, black-headed ibis, large white egret, cattle egret, purple heron, greater coucal, Malabar pied hornbill, Indian paradise fly-catcher, Chestnut-headed bee-eater, Indian peafowl, Bengal monitor, Indian rock python, and the mugger crocodile.

A great experience you must do
As long as you do a safari you must know that no one guaranties you that you are going to see all the animals in the park since they are wild animals, and they are constantly moving. But in our case, despite we did not see the leopard, we saw the sloth bear and it was awesome. However, if we would not have seen the sloth bear, we would have thought the experience was worth because you see many different wild animals and beautiful landscapes.

Great experience and well organised tour
Great experience, everything was organised perfectly; from the pickup, to the safari and back to the Hotel. Our driver, Sujith, was very good as well, helpful guide and friendly! For the safari, the speed was perfect as well, plenty of time to see animals and didn’t drive too fast through the park. Recommend going as early as possible to see more.
