    Beautiful scenery, pro guides!

We had this excursion option through our Viking cruise. So glad we went on this adventure! ALL of the guides for this group were professional, timely, friendly, and informative. They are knowledgeable about the local wildlife and water craft safety. Xander especially stood out in our memories bc we were kayaking closest to him most of our time out on the lake. We had some great conversations and he shared some funny stories with us. We were worried about our phones getting wet and left them behind, so Xander kindly took photos of us and sent them to my husband. (Side quest shout out to Xander's Mom - thanks for raising a thoughtful and kind human). The scenery is absolutely amazing on this lake, glad we have photos to help us remember the moment. We even saw some salmon spawning (July is a great time to go). Highly recommend this tour guide group!!

    Gorgeous lake, great guides

Great tour - Soap and Maya were awesome guides - knowledgable and funny. Only saw eagles and ducks and splashes of salmon (no bear, moose, etc.), but great time. Most gorgeous scenery every and made me fall in love with small town alaska Bring bug spray.

Weather and time of year made this an average trip!

I should say first of all that the weather was not the greatest and at the Haines Summit the peaks were obscured by fog. The drive along the river was fine and we saw a couple of eagles but we were not there at a peak time by any means. We took this tour as an excursion from our cruse ship and the guides tried hard. The narrative was interesting. We spent a long time getting into Canada although at the border you can get a great picture of the welcome to Alaska sign. The peaks being obscured and the slow entrance into Canada, made this an average experience.
