Do not use this tour guide. Avoid. He WILL rob you
Avoid this company. Little man called Oscar. Will rip you off. We booked 2 tour, 3 people. Gave him money he quoted us. Then later found out he'd charged us for 300 polish zloty more than on the paperwork (£60) He whatsapp us to changed our private car pick up time. We agreed thinking we were helping him out. Nope... he'd stuck us in a mini van with none English speaking driver & other passengers. Dropped us 1 hour earlier than he'd booked our tour tickets. In the cold with no where to go for 1 hour. This was to save him money. No help when I called & whatsapp him. There is a head/statue outside his office. See picture

TOURS in CRACOW - AVOID!
A fly by night sham company that provides terrible service and should be avoided like the plague. We found this company at 24 Florianska st in krakow down an alleyway. The operator was a guy called Oskar W*** with a phone that ends in 6637. He seemed genuine however we missed the warning signs. the tours we paid for were joint Auschwitz/Salt Mines with hotel pickup and drop off. Prices was steep at 1300zl half paid up front. Worryingly he did not have the pickup time in the morning but said it would be around 7:00am and that we should contact him after 6:00. This was difficult as we were trying to avoid using the UK phones. However we rang after 6:00pm, and he still had no idea about pickup time. When we got back to the apartment the security guard had a message that pickup was at 9:00am which was very late for a dual trip. The Polish/Mongolian driver had to be seen to be believed. His attidute was very poor and he was snapping at us for coming out of the Auschwitz tour at 12:55 when he actually asked us to be there by 1:00. On the way back to Krakow he came out with non stop conspiracy theories in an almost constant flow (in Polish which most of our group did not understand). Some of these theories were as inappropriate as you could possible get after a visit to a Jewish death camp. The 5 English speaker in the mini bus were totally hacked off and couldn't wait to leave. he dropped them off a good walk away from the hotel (near the Castle) as he wanted to quickly get us on route to the Salt mines. Needless to say he got no tip or even a hand shake from the 4 guests that left. Unfortunately for them they had the Salt mines booked with the same company the next day. When we arrived at the mine he announced that he was leaving us and going home and that we had to call Oskar and get another driver to pick up up. We had no barganing power as he had quickly demanded full payment shortly into the start of the day. After the salt mine trip we got out at 7:30pm to find no minibus in the meeting point that was given to us. We tried phoning but there was no reply. Our guide from the Salt mine passed by and luckily we had a local phone. Same result - 1st Oscars phone was busy, then it was switched off. I would guess that there were no drivers/buses so he just abandoned us miles from Krakow. Avoid this company like the plague. There are a lot of genuine tour companies scattered around (via the tourist advice or major hotels). You live and learn.

Well worth the visit,
Well worth the visit. Stunning place. The lift back to the surface is pretty snug and not the best for someone who does not like tight spaces... its only for about 40 seconds so if you can manage that, don't be discouraged

Why this scores 48
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Wieliczka Salt Mine with hotel pick up: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Krakow.
How much does Wieliczka Salt Mine with hotel pick up cost?
+
Prices start at $90 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Krakow usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Wieliczka Salt Mine with hotel pick up take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Krakow is not rushed.
Is Wieliczka Salt Mine with hotel pick up worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 48 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Krakow, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Wieliczka Salt Mine with hotel pick up?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Wieliczka Salt Mine with hotel pick up suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Wieliczka Salt Mine with hotel pick up?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Krakow can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Krakow and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Wieliczka Salt Mine with hotel pick up start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Krakow within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Krakow?
+
On Outty we rank every Krakow experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Complete Cracow Bike Tour (small group of maximum 15 people!), Krakow–Zakopane: Cable Car, Chocholow Baths, Cheese & Vodka, Krakow: Zakopane & Hot Springs Tour with Cable Car (Hotel Pickup). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Krakow?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Krakow?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
