    Amazing

Super amazing but too many people on tour and over crowded

Response from the operator: Dear Guest, thank you for taking the time to share your review! We are glad to hear that you found the Wieliczka Salt Mine amazing, though we completely understand that high crowd levels and larger group sizes can impact the atmosphere. As one of Poland's most visited attractions, the mine can get very busy, but your feedback is invaluable to us as we continually review group pacing and overall tour comfort. We truly appreciate you visiting with us! Best regards, Poland Tours Team

Wonderful tour, terrible online booking experience

While we were blown away by the salt mine tour we were let down by GR8WAY. Having paid for skip the line tickets and guide online through booking.com I got a whatApp message from an unknown number later on wanting to change our time. I didn't see the message until the following morning as we were out for the evening. We had recieved reservation confirmations so I replied saying I wanted to stick with the original plan. On arrival at the mines we were told our reservation code did not entitle us to tickets and the WhatsApp message reply was that as we hadn't chosen a time slot there was no guide and no tickets. We did not get a refund and had to buy another set of tickets (at a much cheaper rate) at the office for a later tour with a really good guide but in a much bigger group. Would definitley reccomend the tour, just be careful who you buy your tickets from.

    Salt Mine, Krakow.

If you don’t have transport arranged I would recommend booking a taxi through Uber as we were overcharged. I would recommend planning a visit to the Salt Mine, however there are 600 steps to go down, in total so be prepared! A lift takes you back to the top. Our tour guide was fantastic, definitely worth a visit.

    Wonderful Interesting place

0ver 500 steps down but a lift up to ground level again. Surface is dry and good for walking on. Takes about 2 hours for the tour but allow 3 hours for whole experience. Excellent time there. 👍

    Never again!

I don’t recommend this tour with that particular provider. Much easier to buy the tickets from the ticket office before the tour. We didn’t get in at all after paying 135 USD for 2 people in advance. We were 5 minutes late to the meeting point due to no vacancies in the parking lot and the tour guide didn’t pick up the phone until the tour had started. Then she simply said it was our fault and she is not going to bother even though we were at the entrances of the mine by the time the group walked past. They could have picked us up but they have set up their meeting point system so that it would be extremely hard to find. Then the customer support contacts you and tells you that this is all in their terms and conditions and there are no refunds. Thought that the extra that one pays for the so-called “skipping the line ticket” is somehow projected into their services, but I was wrong. They build their business on your bad luck. Never again!

Wieliczka Salt Mine Skip the Queue Ticket: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Krakow.

How much does Wieliczka Salt Mine Skip the Queue Ticket cost?

    +

Prices start at $60 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Krakow usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Wieliczka Salt Mine Skip the Queue Ticket take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Krakow is not rushed.

Is Wieliczka Salt Mine Skip the Queue Ticket worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 43 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Krakow, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Wieliczka Salt Mine Skip the Queue Ticket?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Wieliczka Salt Mine Skip the Queue Ticket suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Wieliczka Salt Mine Skip the Queue Ticket?

    +

Around 15 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Krakow can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Krakow and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Wieliczka Salt Mine Skip the Queue Ticket start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Krakow within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Krakow?

    +

On Outty we rank every Krakow experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Complete Cracow Bike Tour (small group of maximum 15 people!), Krakow–Zakopane: Cable Car, Chocholow Baths, Cheese & Vodka, Krakow: Zakopane & Hot Springs Tour with Cable Car (Hotel Pickup). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Krakow?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Krakow?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
