    Highly recommend!

Highly recommend! Our driver Slawek was great, received a text the day before informing us of our pick up time of 8.20am and another message when he arrived at our hotel. Really friendly, great English. He had our tickets as arranged which saved a long queue and he walked us straight through to our tour guide at the Salt Mine who was amazing, really knowledgeable and interesting. We all thoroughly enjoyed the tour of the Salt mine. Slawek was waiting outside in the carpark for us when our tour ended & he dropped us back at our Apartments. So glad we booked with this Company as they made everything so easy for us. Thank you.

Response from the operator: We’re truly thankful that you decided to spend this important time with us 🙏. Amazing salt mines tour, private transport, amazing company.

We did a number of trips with this company, and this was one of them. There were 4 of us and our driver for this one was Konrad. As before, the mini bus was in great condition, and Konrad drove very carefully, explaining things along the way. He explained everything perfectly well, and came with us to the entrance to give us our tickets and make sure we knew what to do. The salt mines were amazing, it’s a lot of walking and I would recommend just wearing a jumper or a fleece, it was a cold day “outside” but we definitely didn’t need our coats. The only thing I would like different (which is for the salt mine company and not this firm), was to provide a headset for each guest, (like Auschwitz), so you can hear the guide, and at the end of the salt mine tour, be clearer with people where and how to exit. Again, this was the salt mine, and absolutely not a reflection on Konrad, who was brilliant. As with the other trips, you pay nothing for these trips until the end, and they will drop you off in the main square, if you like. That’s exactly what Konrad did with us. A great trip and a fantastic company. We used them for this, Auschwitz-Birkenau and a taxi to and from the airport, and they were great every time. Thanks Konrad, great trip!

Response from the operator: Dear Sir/Madame, Thank you for the review. We are glad that you are satisfied with the service provided by our company. We operate 95% via WhatsApp +48 883 932 004 and we are very fast. Thanks for your kind word and see you next time! Regards Konrad

Salt Mine Tour – all very smoothly organised

A smooth experience from start to finish, with the tour company promptly answering any questions that we had. The car (an Audi) was well presented and the driver was very helpful, particularly in sorting out the pick-up after the tour as we were inadvertently without our mobile phones. The driver was very punctual throughout and spoke fluent English, which altogether made for a good and hassle-free experience. The tour of the salt mine itself covers quite a distance through the various passages, caverns (some of which are quite large and impressive) and stairways (all going down, not up) finishing up in the underground gift shop and café areas. The return to the surface was via a miner’s lift (a bit cramped). (Some parts of the mine are accessible to disabled visitors via different lifts). Also went to Auschwitz with this tour company which was similarly well organised and smoothly run. Would recommend arranging tours through this company.

Response from the operator: Thank you for the review. We are glad that you are satisfied with the service provided by our company. If you will visit Krakow again please contact with us we can help you to organize tour to Zakopane. Regards Konrad and crew

    Exciting Attraction

We have planned a visit independently to this site which overall was very satisfactory. The organisation upon arrival, queuing was smooth although the group we were part off seemed a bit high in numbers and difficult to catch and hear the guide occasionally. The mine in itself was very interesting to see and some compounds were really exciting to view. However and to the end approx. 30mins - 45mins of the walk around we passed through 3 souvenir shops. The last was just before the exit from the exhibition which led us back to ground level away from the entrance with no one to guide us to any sort of direction. Very disappointed on how the tour ended, however overall it was worth the visit.

Response from the operator: Dear Sir/Madame, Thank you for the review. We are glad that you are satisfied with the service provided by our company. Regards Konrad

Wieliczka Salt Mine Guided tour from Krakow/Skip the line ticket: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Krakow.

How much does Wieliczka Salt Mine Guided tour from Krakow/Skip the line ticket cost?

    +

Prices start at $100 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Krakow usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Wieliczka Salt Mine Guided tour from Krakow/Skip the line ticket take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Krakow is not rushed.

Is Wieliczka Salt Mine Guided tour from Krakow/Skip the line ticket worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Krakow, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Wieliczka Salt Mine Guided tour from Krakow/Skip the line ticket?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Wieliczka Salt Mine Guided tour from Krakow/Skip the line ticket suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Wieliczka Salt Mine Guided tour from Krakow/Skip the line ticket?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Krakow can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Krakow and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Wieliczka Salt Mine Guided tour from Krakow/Skip the line ticket start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Krakow within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Krakow?

    +

On Outty we rank every Krakow experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Complete Cracow Bike Tour (small group of maximum 15 people!), Krakow–Zakopane: Cable Car, Chocholow Baths, Cheese & Vodka, Krakow: Zakopane & Hot Springs Tour with Cable Car (Hotel Pickup). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Krakow?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Krakow?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
