Fantastic day and wonderful tour guide!

Ryan was our guide/driver. Pick up was so easy at the cruise terminal. He texted us for his location and van description. He narrated and shared information with us the entire trip. Very personable and knowledgeable- you can tell he enjoys his job. Would definitely recommend this trip and company to anyone!

Enjoyable tour between Whittier and Anchorage

One of the highlights of our cruise and extended stays. The limited numbers of people allowed the guide to better cater to our needs. Really enjoyed the hike to view the glacier. Tour guide is very knowledgeable about Whittier, the tunnel, and area between Whittier and Anchorage.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for reviewing your recent tour with Welcome Anchorage. I am personally so glad we were a "highlight". Almost everything in Alaska is a "Highlight" and to lumped in with all things magnificent and beautiful is an honor. All our best...

Meaningful transfer from Whittier to Anchorage.

Fabulous day didn't watching wildlife en route from Whittier to Anchorage. Our only gripe was the pick up. I didn't get the text from the lady (phone not the best without WiFi) and therefore we didn't know to walk out of cruise terminal to meet bus. Trip Advisor could do with ensuring the tour company name is on the ticket too. But a great guide and great day

Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review and allowing us to share the beauty of Alaska with you. We also appreciate your feedback. We are very glad you enjoyed the tour.

    Transfer/tour

This was a great way to transport from Whittier cruise port to Anchorage. Sherrye (tour van driver) kept in touch with me right up until she got to the cruise port’s parking area. It was all very easy. Sherrye’s effort in ensuring her passengers were comfortable, satisfied, and happy was so evident. She even provided us with water & snacks, and had some binoculars available for us to use! She toured us through the 1.5 mile walk to and from the Byron Glacier, took many pictures for us, and gave us all the narrative we needed! We made several other stops and saw so many beautiful sights along our journey- like turnagain arm, Earthquake Park, and the Wildlife Conservation Center where we saw a bear, a wolf, some moose and bison! She made a stop at a restaurant where we were able to sit down for about an hour for lunch. After the tour, Sherrye dropped us off at our hotel. It was a very long day, but well worth it! Sherrye is a very good tour guide! Don’t hesitate to book this transfer/tour!

    Whittier to Anchorage transport

Sherry was great! Weather didn’t work with us, but she pivoted and added other sight seeing opportunities.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for choosing our tour and taking the time to share your experience! Weather has been a little challenging for sure this month, so grateful Sherry was able to make it a good day regardless! Best, Jen

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Whittier.

How much does Whittier to Anchorage Cruise Transfer & Wildlife Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $197 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Whittier usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Whittier to Anchorage Cruise Transfer & Wildlife Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Whittier is not rushed.

Is Whittier to Anchorage Cruise Transfer & Wildlife Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 81 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 60 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Whittier, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Whittier to Anchorage Cruise Transfer & Wildlife Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Whittier to Anchorage Cruise Transfer & Wildlife Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Whittier to Anchorage Cruise Transfer & Wildlife Tour?

    +

Around 21 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Whittier can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Whittier and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Whittier to Anchorage Cruise Transfer & Wildlife Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Whittier within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Whittier?

    +

Whittier, AK packs its best experiences into walkable neighborhoods, local food, and day trips nearby. Outty ranks every bookable tour and activity in Whittier by rating quality, review depth, booking demand and value, so you can see the standouts before you book. On Outty we rank every Whittier experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Whittier Cruise Transfer with Wildlife&Glacier tour to Anchorage, Whittier to Anchorage Half Day Transit Tour From the Port, Whittier to Anchorage Wildlife Extravaganza. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Whittier?

    +

Spring and fall bring the best weather and lighter crowds in Whittier, while summer has the widest choice of tours and evening activities. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Whittier?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
