Magic Day in the Southern Highlands

My sister was visiting me from the US, and we had the best day ever! Scott is the most knowledgeable person ever about the Sydney area, he has an anecdote or history for everything. And he is funny and so kind! Anytime I have a visitor from the US, a tour with Scott is going to be on the itinerary.

    Two most wonderful days.

Undoubtedly the best tour guide company in Sydney, we had 2 full days with our personal guides ( Blue mountain tour & Southern highlands tour) and we couldn’t have been more delighted, the guides were knowledgeable, prompt, flexible and most importantly lovely people. I would recommend this company 100%

Response from the operator: Thanks so much Andy, We are lucky to have guests like you who make our jobs so enjoyable. Safe travels to you both. Scott and the team.

    Wonderful

I booked fairly last minute and everything was smooth sailing. Scott contacted me the night before to confirm pick up time and see if I had any pressing questions or requests. The vehicle for the day was very comfortable and the air con was much needed since it was extremely hot out. The provided water certainly came in handy. Scott certainly has eagle eyes, pointing out wildlife and even pulling over so we could watch a whale breaching while on the way to one of the parks. The views are stunning. With having gone on a Monday many businesses are closed but it never felt like I was missing out on anything. Lunch was delicious and the wines were great. No part of the drive was boring or uncomfortable. Scott is fun to chat with and knows a lot about the history of the area. More than enough stops if you need the toilet as well if that's something you need to think about. If I am back in Sydney, I will certainly be looking up another tour.

Response from the operator: Thanks so much, Southern Highlands are a favourite of ours and this was a super fun day out with great company. Safe travels, Scott and the team

Great time at Southern Highlands with Scott

Great time at the Southern Highlands. As it was winter, it was cooler by 2 or 3 degrees with the temp at the city. The blast of wind greeted us at Bald's Hill. Oh!, what a view. We had breakfast at Audley Dance Hall at the Royal National Park. It was such a pleasant atmosphere. We also had lunch at Bendooley Estate and it was another memorable experience. We went with Scott when we were at Sydney last year (2022) and it was a no-brainer going again with him on this tour as well as the one to Port Stephens. Thanks, Scott for being a great and friendly guide. The 6 of us always enjoyed our comfortable ride in your Land Rover Discovery. We would never have seen or enjoyed the food at the places you took us to.

Response from the operator: As always Ed and Co, it was a joy to host you in Sydney and so nice to have repeat guests that come back again. Safe travels and see you soon.

    Southern Highlands Winery Tour

Booked the southern highlands winery tour from sydney for a group of 13 for my 30th birthday. Had a wonderful day. Scott was our guide and organised everything and kept us on schedule so all we had to do was relax and taste all the wines. Would definitely use this company again for future events.

Waves Waterfalls and Wineries Full-Day Southern Highlands Private Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Sydney.

How much does Waves Waterfalls and Wineries Full-Day Southern Highlands Private Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $997 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Sydney usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Waves Waterfalls and Wineries Full-Day Southern Highlands Private Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Sydney is not rushed.

Is Waves Waterfalls and Wineries Full-Day Southern Highlands Private Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Sydney, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Waves Waterfalls and Wineries Full-Day Southern Highlands Private Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Waves Waterfalls and Wineries Full-Day Southern Highlands Private Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Waves Waterfalls and Wineries Full-Day Southern Highlands Private Tour?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Sydney can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Sydney and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Waves Waterfalls and Wineries Full-Day Southern Highlands Private Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Sydney within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Sydney?

    +

On Outty we rank every Sydney experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include WILD Wombat and Kangaroo Day Tour, All Inclusive, Depart Syd: Blue Mountains Best All Inclusive with Local Guide, Blue Mountain Small Group Tour All Inclusive. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Sydney?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Sydney?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
