Nice Little Trip!
Fabulous journey today! Missed seeing the female captain who brings so much humour to the trip! Didn't stop off for the sea bed viewing today, but only half a dozen adults on the early boat. This trip is a must and I do it regularly as it’s good value for money. Also it’s interesting seeing all the beautiful boats and fish in the harbour. The restaurants are great too . Keep up the good work!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your lovely review and for being a regular passenger. We’re delighted to hear that you continue to enjoy the journey and find it good value for money. We’ll be sure to pass your kind words on to our female captain — we’re sure she’ll be pleased to know that her humour is missed when she’s not on board! We’re also glad you enjoyed taking in the boats, fish and atmosphere around the harbour. Thank you for your continued support and for the recommendation. We really appreciate it and look forward to welcoming you on board again soon.

Great waterbus
Very easy to book and find the boarding spot, tickets were a fair price, the journey was lovely and the staff on board were very friendly. Would definitely do this again.
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your kind review. We’re delighted to hear that you found the booking process and boarding point easy to navigate, and that you enjoyed the journey and our service on board. We really appreciate your recommendation and would be happy to welcome you back on board again in the future.

Horrible timings from the taxi service
The taxi never leaves on time. We enjoyed the experience of the water taxi from puerto Calero to puerto del Carmen but the taxi left extremely early. Thankfully we arrived to the taxi 15mins early at puerto Calero because it left straight away. We ended up missing the taxi back from puerto del carmen because it left 30mins earlier than it was supposed to. For the price we paid to have the experience we will not be doing it again.
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the water taxi experience itself. We are sorry to learn that you missed your return departure. However, after reviewing your comments, it appearsthe departure times may have been confused between the two ports. The timetables are correctly published, and our water taxi operates according to those scheduled departure times, without leaving early. We understand that this was disappointing, but we hope this clarifies what happened. We would be delighted to welcome you on board again in the future.

Lovely way to travel
This is a lovely experience. It is expensive for what it is but I imagine the costs of running a boat are high. The cost really is my only concern and of course this is down to what an individual considers value. The scenery on the route is lovely. I would recommend the water taxi in one direction and the coastal walk in the other (if this was possible for people) helpful staff and the boat itself was spotless.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your kind review. We're delighted to hear you enjoyed the beautiful scenery, found our staff helpful, and appreciated how clean and well-maintained the boat was. We also appreciate your comments regarding the price. We always aim to provide a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable experience on the water, and we're pleased you would recommend combining the water taxi with the coastal walk. We hope to welcome you on board again soon!

Response from the operator: Thank you for your wonderful review! We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed the water taxi experience and appreciated our friendly, professional, and welcoming crew. It's great to know that the glass-bottom feature added to your trip by giving you a glimpse of the amazing marine life below. Thank you for your recommendation—it means a lot to us. Why this scores 68
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Water Taxi: Puerto del Carmen - Puerto Calero: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lanzarote.
How much does Water Taxi: Puerto del Carmen - Puerto Calero cost?
+
Prices start at $13 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lanzarote usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Water Taxi: Puerto del Carmen - Puerto Calero take?
+
Plan for about 0.4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lanzarote is not rushed.
Is Water Taxi: Puerto del Carmen - Puerto Calero worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 218 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lanzarote, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Water Taxi: Puerto del Carmen - Puerto Calero?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Water Taxi: Puerto del Carmen - Puerto Calero suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 0.4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Water Taxi: Puerto del Carmen - Puerto Calero?
+
Around 76 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lanzarote can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lanzarote and add a light layer if any part of the 0.4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Water Taxi: Puerto del Carmen - Puerto Calero start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lanzarote within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Lanzarote?
+
On Outty we rank every Lanzarote experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Guapatini's Show Bar, #1 thing to do PDC (Badge of Excellence), Tour to Timanfaya, Jameos del Agua, Cueva de los Verdes and viewpoint from the cliff, Catamaran Sailing in Lanzarote. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Lanzarote?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Lanzarote?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
