DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They contacted me 10 minutes before the tour to see if I could change my tour to the following night, to which I responded no. The tour guy never showed up or contacted any of the 7 guests who waited for the tour for over 45 minutes. They sent several vague confusing texts as to what was going on and did not respond to the other guests who were texting and calling. A gentleman finally answered when I called and he let me know that he did not have a driver for our tour. I received a refund from the company but nothing to compensate for the vacation time that was lost waiting on a tour that did not exist. I recommend you use another company.

Frank needs a headset/microphone. It was very difficult to hear him over the talking going on with other passengers on the bus.

Nice overview of the city at night.
It was pretty much just driving around because of all the road closures it was hard to get to the monuments. The driver was very knowledgeable and friendly although he talked really fast so I didn't hear everything. When I got lost coming back from the Lincoln Memorial he was not very helpful, just told me to follow the map he sent me. Finally 2 of the other passengers came and found me. All in all I got to see the Monuments lit up which is what I wanted. I know it was very difficult this weekend.

Not for Us
Guide was very informative. A little hard to understand with his thick accent but he kept saying he didn't want to get political yet was very condescending toward Trump. We are here for the 250th celebration. Trump is our President. Whether you hate him or not you should respect the President. Now our guide was saying he was thinking about starting a Trump tour since he was trying to put his name on every building in DC. The tour from that point became so political my husband and I just wanted out of the tour. He discussed the ballroom addition and wanted to know why we needed it. One thing after another but yet say he didn't want to get political 🙄 oh please. We wanted a Monument trip and got the Negative Nancy trip. He was trying to make extra money onboard selling merchandise and promoting his book. We just wanted the tour we paid for. That's it. I gave 3 stars because he did have good memorization on the History of DC but he was divisive with his rhetoric. Would not recommend this trip if you support Conservative values.

Can’t handle the AC? Then cxl the tour.
The tour operator should have cancelled the tour and refunded the passengers altogether if they could not keep their small bus adequately air conditioned. I know this was very unusual for DV to experience such temps but if their bus couldn’t keep the passengers comfortable-then cancel it. There were many elderly ppl on the bus and busy the 3rd stop-only a few remained. Our tour was in tandem with another bus-which did not seem to have the AC problem.

Why this scores 49
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Washington DC Night Tour-starts at 7:30pm: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Washington DC.
How much does Washington DC Night Tour-starts at 7:30pm cost?
+
Prices start at $59 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Washington DC usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Washington DC Night Tour-starts at 7:30pm take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Washington DC is not rushed.
Is Washington DC Night Tour-starts at 7:30pm worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 49 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.7/5 across 118 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Washington DC, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Washington DC Night Tour-starts at 7:30pm?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Washington DC Night Tour-starts at 7:30pm suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Washington DC Night Tour-starts at 7:30pm?
+
Around 41 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Washington DC can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Washington DC and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Washington DC Night Tour-starts at 7:30pm start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Washington DC within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Washington DC?
+
Washington is the rare city where the headline attractions cost nothing and the scarce resource is access. Timed entry to the Smithsonian museums, Capitol and White House tours, and the night monument runs by bike or bus are what fill up. Our ranking rewards operators who secure the passes themselves rather than telling you to sort it out at the door. On Outty we rank every Washington DC experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Washington DC Small-Group Sightseeing Experience, Washington DC "See the City" Guided Sightseeing Segway Tour, Arlington Cemetery Small-Group Tour & Changing of the Guards. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Washington DC?
+
Late March to April for cherry blossom, or September to November for cool museum weather. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Washington DC?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
