    Best value excursion. Perfect.

This entire experience was flawless from start to finish. The only bad reviews are from the dummies who missed the boat because they were late; and this excursion goes above and beyond to tell you to get there early from the description when booking it, a reminder text the morning of, and even then they were scrambling and waiting for the last minute stragglers so they try really hard to leave no man behind. There is a super cute, reasonably priced gift shop and they sell snacks and sodas along with cute merch. The guide Agnes and the captain were gems! Scenery was amazing and they kept our interest from start to finish. This is worth every penny.

A fun outing to see wildlife

This is a great outing for the family or with friends. The boat is covered and comfortable. It was nice that each family had their own row of seats and visibility was good. We were able to see osprey, a raccoon, turtles, alligators, and herons and it took about 2 hours. The owner and tour guide were very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Would recommend!

    Fantastic experience!

The trip was very fun and Agnes was absolutely phenomenal! She knows a ton, is super energetic, friendly and hilarious. We were entertained throughout, relaxed and learned a lot from the trip. Knowing this is a small family business definitely makes us want to support even more. Highly recommend and you should book directly on their website!

    A “must experience” outing

Great experience. Would do it again. Great narration - crew responsive to vacationers. Learned some history, scientific word for the study of birds (ornithology), spotted American alligators, a raccoon, lots of turtles, different birds and specific nests. Bought the rice and the honey (and it did not flux my blood glucose). Developed a respect for the heritage for the area. Good job guys!

Waccamaw River Nature and Wildlife Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Myrtle Beach.

How much does Waccamaw River Nature and Wildlife Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $49 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Myrtle Beach usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Waccamaw River Nature and Wildlife Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Myrtle Beach is not rushed.

Is Waccamaw River Nature and Wildlife Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 92 out of 100, which we label "90+ Club". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 1,417 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Myrtle Beach, and how flexible the cancellation terms are. Scoring 90 or above puts it in the Outty 90+ Club, the top tier of everything we rank.

Can I cancel or reschedule Waccamaw River Nature and Wildlife Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Waccamaw River Nature and Wildlife Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Waccamaw River Nature and Wildlife Tour?

    +

Around 496 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Myrtle Beach can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Myrtle Beach and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Waccamaw River Nature and Wildlife Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Myrtle Beach within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Myrtle Beach?

    +

Myrtle Beach runs dolphin cruises, deep sea fishing charters, helicopter flights over the Grand Strand, and low country day trips to Charleston and Brookgreen Gardens. Charter boat size and included gear are the deciding factors offshore. On Outty we rank every Myrtle Beach experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Escape Game at Broadway at the Beach in Myrtle Beach, Music and Memories at Greg Rowles Legacy Theatre, Original Motown Tribute Show. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Myrtle Beach?

    +

April to June and September to October. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Myrtle Beach?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
