    Great fishing, serious fish theft.

My family and I took the 12-hour Voyager fishing trip out of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, on August 1, 2026, paying nearly $900 for a family of five. The captain and crew were friendly, hardworking, and helpful, and we caught a tremendous number of fish, enjoying most of the day. However, the experience was ultimately overshadowed by serious issues. Several passengers were loud, disruptive, and openly smoking marijuana despite children and families onboard. More importantly, fish were stolen from the communal cooler where everyone’s catch was stored. While passengers were fishing, individuals were able to remove fish from others’ stringers and add them to their own without detection. My son caught well over 25 large and medium sized fish after the first two stops, but only nine remained at the dock. Our family of five caught over 200fish that included snapper, rudder, grouper and sea bass to name a few, yet we were left with only about 50, meaning roughly three quarters of our catch was lost. I caught a 16inch sea bass my pride of the day, which also was missing. At the dock, an argument nearly escalated into a fight when a grown man was seen with a large sea bass that had been caught by a seven-year-old boy. While the crew did not steal fish, they had a responsibility to ensure customers’ catches were protected. The communal cooler system was clearly not supervised, and paying customers should not have to worry about theft of their catch. We have fished in Myrtle Beach, Panama City Beach, Destin, and elsewhere without ever experiencing anything like this. This was the first time we have had fish stolen from a trip. What should have been a great family memory was instead a frustrating and disappointing experience. Losing approximately three quarters of our catch after paying nearly $900 is unacceptable. We will not be booking another 12-hour Voyager trip and will be sharing our experience with friends and family. We hope management takes this seriously and implements better safeguards for customers’ catches.

Not a big fan. Waste of 500$

Went with myself and my 2 sons. The crew were attentive when assisting as far as line clearing and re jigging. Ill give them that much. The attitudes of the crew was horrible. They got smart. They ignored questions. They gave off an attitude after a while of. Iunless you absolutly need them. Dnt bother them. It being our first trip doing this. You can see where we ran into the issues we did. Also the issues i have with this is the horrible lack of communication. We caught 2 fish and was told a number. When we asked him to repeat it. He said 1 from what we thought we herd(he said it back with an attitude). Turns out that was already someone else's number. We went to collect our fish in the end. And someone else took our fish. They need tickets or something for collection at the end. Also. A lot of dead time on this trip where no one was catching anything. Others guys on the boat said this voyager charter is really dying off. Heritage elite i believe they say are a better crew to go with.

12-Hour Gulf Stream Fishing Adventure from North Myrtle Beach: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Myrtle Beach.

How much does 12-Hour Gulf Stream Fishing Adventure from North Myrtle Beach cost?

    +

Prices start at $150 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Myrtle Beach usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 12-Hour Gulf Stream Fishing Adventure from North Myrtle Beach take?

    +

Plan for about 12 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Myrtle Beach is not rushed.

Is 12-Hour Gulf Stream Fishing Adventure from North Myrtle Beach worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 34 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (1.6/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable food & drink in Myrtle Beach, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 12-Hour Gulf Stream Fishing Adventure from North Myrtle Beach?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is 12-Hour Gulf Stream Fishing Adventure from North Myrtle Beach suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 12-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book 12-Hour Gulf Stream Fishing Adventure from North Myrtle Beach?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Myrtle Beach can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Myrtle Beach and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 12-Hour Gulf Stream Fishing Adventure from North Myrtle Beach start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Myrtle Beach within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Myrtle Beach?

    +

Myrtle Beach runs dolphin cruises, deep sea fishing charters, helicopter flights over the Grand Strand, and low country day trips to Charleston and Brookgreen Gardens. Charter boat size and included gear are the deciding factors offshore. On Outty we rank every Myrtle Beach experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Waccamaw River Nature and Wildlife Tour, The Escape Game at Broadway at the Beach in Myrtle Beach, Music and Memories at Greg Rowles Legacy Theatre. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Myrtle Beach?

    +

April to June and September to October. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Myrtle Beach?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
