    Stunning Coastal Day Trip

Beautiful coastal day trip, highly recommend. Felicia was our tour guide and did a great job of juggling history, legends, and fun facts in two different languages. Driver was amazing -- the mountain roads down the coast are insane. Towering cliff walls on one side, straight drop on the other, and very little in between. I had originally wanted to drive so we had more independence, but we probably wouldn't have survived. I would have liked either more time to explore each stop, or a guided tour, otherwise it was perfect.

Great day, beautiful cities and scenery, just not quite enough time in each location.

We enjoyed this experience, and Riccardo was an excellent guide. There were a total of 7 of us along with Riccardo. Three folks from Spain, three from the US, and one from Great Britain. Riccardo was able to provide information to both the English and the Spanish speakers. After our departure, we drove to wards Sorrento. Before stopping in Sorrento we visited a nice shop that sold Limoncello and gifts. More importantly, it was also a restroom stop. We had really ugly one hour in Sorrento before driving Positano. Another roughly 1 hour stop. Be prepared for some steep hills. We were there on a Sunday in late September, and the crowds were a bit overwhelming. Next was a stop on Amalfi, where we had about 50 minutes. I had taken a swimsuit and went to the beach (we’d been there two days earlier). After that, it was about a 40 minute stop in Ravello. All of these locations are beautiful, and you will cover a lot of terrain in one day. But when you’re in town, you need to maximize what little time you have. Sample the desserts, try the limoncello, have a limoncello sorbet, walk the narrow streets where you’ll see both locals trying to survive the tourists, and the tourist trying to take it all in. It would be nice to have at least one hour in each location. You will feel a bit rushed, but you see some amazing countryside along the way in addition to four beautiful cities. Our guide was very communicative at each stop and very clear about where he’d be, when to return, where to meet up, etc. He’s also happy to give recommendations for places to eat or to visit. Thank you, Riccardo. Recommendations- *Try not to sit in the back seat. It was very hard to hear the guide in the back seat. *Whenever you have access to a water closet, use it. Almost every shop is happy to let you use the restroom if you buy something, even something small. *Take bottled water and maybe snacks with you. Our tour did not include a lunch stop as some of the people did not want to go to a sit down restaurant. Snack, drink, and enjoy yourself along the way. *Wear comfortable shoes with good soles as some of the streets are either steep, uneven, slippery, or all of the above. *You don’t have to stay with the group when the driver drops you off, so break free from the group quickly and do your own thing. *You have to be aggressive when crossing streets. Streets are narrow and traffic is bumper to bumper. Cars do not want to stop if they can avoid it, but they will stop if you are very aggressive about crossing. *The sheer number of visitors can be overwhelming certain days. Be sure you allow yourself enough time to get back to your transportation. It will take longer than you think if it’s crowded.

Amalfi Coast in a small group

Comfortable tour in a nice modern minivan. Pick up close to the B&B. Nice driver. Small group. Amalfi Coast beautiful and very crowded.

    Would not do again.

5.5 hours in a van for 2.5 hours of sightseeing. Only did 2 of the 3 advertised stops. Drove did Sorrento to pick up another family, but did not have a photo stop. 1 hour stop in Positano and 1.5 hours in Amalfi town. No instruction about the day, only get out meet back here. Sights are beautiful, but I would not pick this tour again.

    Great experience

It was an amazing day. The traffic was horrendous. There was a little bit of a mixup about where we were supposed to meet the driver. After that, it was all great. Driver was wonderful, passengers were great too. I would recommend this trip for anyone visiting Naples

Response from the operator: Thanks a lot Have a nice day See you next time

Visit amalfi coast from Naples: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Naples.

How much does Visit amalfi coast from Naples cost?

    +

Prices start at $50 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Naples usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Visit amalfi coast from Naples take?

    +

Plan for about 8.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Naples is not rushed.

Is Visit amalfi coast from Naples worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Naples, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Visit amalfi coast from Naples?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Visit amalfi coast from Naples suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Visit amalfi coast from Naples?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Naples can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Naples and add a light layer if any part of the 8.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Visit amalfi coast from Naples start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Naples within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Naples?

    +

On Outty we rank every Naples experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full Day Private Amalfi Coast Tour from Sorrento/Naples/Salerno, Caserta Royal Palace & Gardens Small Group Tour with Shuttle, Naples Pizza and Tiramisu Cooking Class. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Naples?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Naples?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
