What you'll see and do
Poros
First stop, is the port of Poros where our stay is for 1 hour. Poros is the island of peace, romance and jauntiness. Walk across the town and discover the city hall, the archeological museum and head towards the highest point of the island, to discover the historical and famous clock tower.
60 minutes here
Hydra
Next stop is the cosmopolitan Hydra where the cruise ship remains for 1 hour and 30 minutes. Hydra is a very popular island because of its extremely picturesque capital, full of red-tiled houses and stone-paved narrow alleys. The traditional means of transportation that you can find on the island, its donkeys, will make you fall in love with it at first sight.
90 minutes here
Aegina
Last stop, is the famous island of Aegina which is the biggest island of the Saronic gulf and well known for its great production of colorful pistachios, the Temple of Afaia and the monastery of Saint Nektarios. We stay at the port of Aegina for around 2 hours. There is enough time to enjoy your coffee and the famous pistachio sweets at the beautiful port or discover its hidden treasures. After sailing back to port you'll be transferred to Athens.

VIP worth it. Swimming excursion a big disappointment
The VIP portion of the boat was worth the money. I would recommend the VIP for anyone with little children or older adults due to the air conditioning. I was not pleased with the swimming excursion that we paid around $26.00 per person. Towels are not provided, we were giving an hour to swim but were told not to come back to the transport wet or sandy. We were a large group. A total of 12 people. So for $329.44 we got robbed.

Day trip boat experience
This is a long day on the boat. Hydra was fun to walk around. Poros was a very short stop-not much time to do anything. In Aegina we chose the swimming excursion. I assumed it was included but it was 22 Euro per person. We only had an hour at the beach and were told we couldn’t come back wet or sandy so most of us were too scared to get too far into the water.

Great way to visit three islands on one day!
We took the VIP package and it was a great experience. There were couple of people always waiting to serve you. I even took an afternoon nap after a great lunch. Highly recommend it!

All 3 islands were...
All 3 islands were beautiful!!! Hydra being our favorite! Staff on the boat were exceptional and the food was better than I expected..above average for sure. We paid for the VIP…and the food was the same as what everyone else got. Chose VIP to make sure we could seek shelter from the sun if needed, so it was worth it for that.
Response from the operator: Dear David, Thank you for sharing your experience with our VIP Day Cruise. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed visiting all three islands and that Hydra was your favorite. Each destination has its own unique charm, and it is wonderful to know that you appreciated the beauty of the islands as well as the exceptional service provided by the onboard team. We are also pleased that the food exceeded your expectations. Your comments regarding the VIP package are appreciated as well. While the meal served is the same for all guests, the VIP experience is designed to offer additional comfort and amenities, including access to reserved indoor seating and a more relaxed space throughout the cruise. We are glad that this provided the flexibility and shelter you were looking for during the day. Thank you for choosing KeyTours. We hope to welcome you back for another memorable cruise through the Greek islands in the future. Kind regards, Keytours Team

You will get exactly what...
You will get exactly what you paid for. Included pick up & drop off from your hotel, skip the line to enter the ship, nice VIP area with your designated friendly ship staff to serve you refreshments, appetizer, and a 3 course meal. And of course time to visit 3 beautiful islands! I have no complaints about this tour.

Why this scores 65
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
VIP Day Cruise from Athens to Hydra, Poros and Aegina: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Athens.
How much does VIP Day Cruise from Athens to Hydra, Poros and Aegina cost?
+
Prices start at $167 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Athens usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does VIP Day Cruise from Athens to Hydra, Poros and Aegina take?
+
Plan for about 12 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Athens is not rushed.
Is VIP Day Cruise from Athens to Hydra, Poros and Aegina worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 66 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Athens, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule VIP Day Cruise from Athens to Hydra, Poros and Aegina?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is VIP Day Cruise from Athens to Hydra, Poros and Aegina suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 12-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book VIP Day Cruise from Athens to Hydra, Poros and Aegina?
+
Around 23 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Athens can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Athens and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does VIP Day Cruise from Athens to Hydra, Poros and Aegina start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Athens within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Athens?
+
On Outty we rank every Athens experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Athens Small Group E-Bike Tour, Small Group Greek Traditional Food Tour in Athens 20+ Tastings, Athens Scenic Bike Tour with Regular or Electric Bike + Acropolis. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Athens?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Athens?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
