Fantastic way to spend the day discovering the islands Hidra, Poros & Aegina
Great trip, with very friendly staff, lunch was superb. 10/10. Hidra, Poros & Aegina. A must do activity!

It was okay but…
Overall, the experience was okay. I felt that visiting Poros was unnecessary since we only had around 30–40 minutes there, which wasn’t enough time to properly explore the island. We also purchased the optional beach swimming excursion in Aegina for €24 per person. In my opinion, it wasn’t worth the price because it only included beach entry—not sunbeds—and we only had about an hour (or even less) to swim before having to get changed and head back to the bus. If Poros had been skipped, we could have spent much more time in Aegina and enjoyed a proper beach experience instead. The ship itself was fine, but I think the overall experience could be more modern. For example, instead of making announcements asking everyone to come downstairs to hear about the optional tours, the cruise could simply share digital PDF brochures or information with passengers. Also, rather than having crew members walk around showing photos of the destinations on their phones or printed materials, the screens around the ship could display images and details of the excursions. It would make everything much more engaging and convenient. The food was good. The highlight of the entire trip was definitely the Greek dance performance on the rooftop at the end—it was a fun and memorable way to finish the cruise. A special shoutout to Thomas, the organ player, who was incredibly humorous, friendly, and easygoing with everyone. He really added to the atmosphere and made the experience more enjoyable.

Not worth it
It was very disorganized and oversold. The company described this as a small crowd cruise. It was an overcrowded and nothing looked like the pictures in the description. They let the group tours board (hundreds) the boat first, so by the time the people with individual tickets board (maybe 30 or less of us), they were no seats left for us. With the package I bought it said drinks were included, none were included. Someone was passing water bottles but ran out. Food was mediocre and again super disorganized. Restrooms were not clean, there was urine all over the floor. This was too much $$ for a very disorganized cruise. The islands were all worth visiting and very beautiful. Next time, I will find another cruise line or private.

Great Cruise, Good Food.
Booked this cruise as we were staying in Athens for 3 nights at the start of island hopping over a couple of weeks. I thought this would be a great way to see 3 islands in a day. I read the reviews and booked VIP, due to it being a 12 hour day and unlimited food and refreshments along with a private lounge area was enticing. We were picked up from near our apartment by a private taxi along with another couple. On time and good communication throughout the booking and collection point details. We arrived at the ship and immediately escorted into a private lounge and introduced to Costas, our lovely host for the day. The lounge was exclusive to VIP passengers and we were given our own seating area with WiFi, two sofas and a coffee table. We wandered upstairs to the top deck and sat on a couple of chairs as the weather was hot and we sailed off to the first island of Hydra. As a VIP, you can use any of the three bars to get drinks, first drink was iced lattes! There are tables and chairs at the front of the boat which are all taken pretty quickly, then you can get chairs to sit on both port and starboard with plenty of room. We went downstairs at 10am where we were served with nibbles and a cold refreshing drink made by Costas. We visited Hydra, there is a free walking tour for VIP, but we just wandered around the town for an hour, absolutely beautiful. On our return to the ship, we had lunch in the lounge area which was a salad, with fish, meat, pasta, bread (and butter!) and then an amazing orange cake for dessert. We then visited the island of Poros and Aegina, you don't get long on these islands, but enough to see the promenade and have a drink. We didn't do any of the private tours. During the day, we mainly sat on the outside of the boat, managed to get a table a couple of times. (It is busy, but you can always get a seat somewhere). In the public lounge, there was a DJ, Karaoke and entertainment. After the last island, we did go and sit downstairs in the VIP lounge, where Costas made us coffees and was available throughout the day. There was only around 10 other VIPs, so we basically had the lounge to ourselves and a few people were napping at the end of a long day. At arrival in Athens, we then had a private taxi to take us back to our pick up point, this was around 7pm. We did thoroughly enjoy the day, Costas was lovely, we had everything we needed, the islands were beautiful and it is worth doing. Would I go VIP again, no, we decided we wouldn't need to. (We don't drink in the day, so the free bar for us was not needed) We had a couple of iced drinks and coffee, but we could have bought those as non VIP passengers. The lunch was really good, but you had long enough on Hydra to get lunch. We would definitely recommend. Great staff and well organised.

VIP One Day Cruise to Hydra, Poros and Aegina from Athens: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Athens.
How much does VIP One Day Cruise to Hydra, Poros and Aegina from Athens cost?
+
Prices start at $202 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Athens usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does VIP One Day Cruise to Hydra, Poros and Aegina from Athens take?
+
Plan for about 12 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Athens is not rushed.
Is VIP One Day Cruise to Hydra, Poros and Aegina from Athens worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.1/5 across 162 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Athens, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule VIP One Day Cruise to Hydra, Poros and Aegina from Athens?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is VIP One Day Cruise to Hydra, Poros and Aegina from Athens suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 12-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book VIP One Day Cruise to Hydra, Poros and Aegina from Athens?
+
Around 57 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Athens can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Athens and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does VIP One Day Cruise to Hydra, Poros and Aegina from Athens start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Athens within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Athens?
+
On Outty we rank every Athens experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Athens Small Group E-Bike Tour, Small Group Greek Traditional Food Tour in Athens 20+ Tastings, Athens Scenic Bike Tour with Regular or Electric Bike + Acropolis. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Athens?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Athens?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
