Lots of fun- but SAFETY should be first.
The overall experience was so much fun, and the guides never made us feel rushed. My boys loved every second of it! Riding through the city and the sugar fields was thrilling, and getting to visit the Rio Chavón made this adventure truly unique compared to other tours. However, management needs to pay much closer attention to equipment maintenance and safety. My quad smelled strongly of gasoline, and a meter-long metal piece actually fell off during the ride. Furthermore, the back seatbelt on the 4-seater buggy was broken. Safety should always come first, and addressing these maintenance issues will prevent potentially serious injuries.

a terrible experience that ruined my vacation.
Never had the tour because the driver never show up for the pick up after un hours waiting they call me asking me to leave the hotel to meet the driver out of the hotel which of course I didn't do. a terrible experience that ruined my vacation.
Response from the operator: Dear traveler, we picked you up and contacted you several times and then you decided to cancel simply because you didn't want to go out. We have proof of that. Remember that we were always in communication with you via WhatsApp. The one who decided to show up was you.

Unprofessional and Rude
Do not book with this tour operator. I would act like to give them a 0 but 1 star is the minimum. The actual buggy company (Ecology Mudrace) was good. The tour operator is unprofessional and rude. We booked for a 10am pickup. They ignored picking us up even though I reached out to them 2 days in advance to confirm all the details. Their excuse, the driver had a small inconvenience. Yeah right! They totally forgot about us then offered us a 1pm pick up time. I had another event booked at night and wanted a guaranteed 1pm pickup and 5:30 drop off at the hotel. They stated that would happen. Well, the driver was late for the 2 pm pick up and we got back to the hotel at 6:30pm. Ultimately missing our evening event as they were in time. Again DO NOT use these guys, they are liars.
Response from the operator: Lady, you never forgot to pick it up and the service was provided to you, but may God bless you.

Why this scores 55
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
VIP Adventure Buggy: Small Group Tour of Bayahibe: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for La Romana.
How much does VIP Adventure Buggy: Small Group Tour of Bayahibe cost?
+
Prices start at $45 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in La Romana usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does VIP Adventure Buggy: Small Group Tour of Bayahibe take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in La Romana is not rushed.
Is VIP Adventure Buggy: Small Group Tour of Bayahibe worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.7/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in La Romana, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule VIP Adventure Buggy: Small Group Tour of Bayahibe?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is VIP Adventure Buggy: Small Group Tour of Bayahibe suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 18. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 4-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book VIP Adventure Buggy: Small Group Tour of Bayahibe?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in La Romana can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in La Romana and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does VIP Adventure Buggy: Small Group Tour of Bayahibe start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central La Romana within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in La Romana?
+
On Outty we rank every La Romana experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Small Group: Saona Island Full Day Tour, Saona Island small group and relax - luxury catamaran, #1 Punta Cana Hip Hop Adults Only Party Boat with Open Bar & DJ. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit La Romana?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in La Romana?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
