Great introduction to Northern Vietnam

We enjoyed our trip and were very well looked after by our guides and Phoebe who organised the trip for us and we were in constant communication to ensure things went smoothly. It was a good introduction to Vietnam and we particularly enjoyed the quieter days we had in Ba vi and the chance to try cooking classes, rice planting and fishing in Tho Ha. Accommodation and food were excellent. Tam coc and Mua Caves were beautiful places but nothing’hidden’ about them! We wished we had more time to spend to explore some of the more remote places. Hopefully another trip!

Response from the operator: Dear Nalini, Thank you very much for sharing your detailed feedback! We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed your 9-day trip and felt well taken care of by our guides and by Phoebe. It’s great to know that the constant communication helped ensure everything went smoothly. We’re also happy that the experiences in Ba Vi, as well as the cooking class, rice planting, and fishing in Tho Ha, were highlights of your journey and that the accommodation and food met your expectations too. And we completely understand your wish to explore more remote places; we’d love to help you plan that on your next visit. Thank you again for choosing to travel with us. We hope to welcome you back for another adventure soon! Realistic Asia Team

Excellent!

Excellent experience with this company. Éllie was our consultant and we greatly appreciated the communication throughout the booking process and our travel. We always felt like we were in good hands with all our guides, accommodations, transfers, and activities. The tour we chose was a great blend of main attractions and quieter moments behind the scenes of local living. If we had concerns during our time in Vietnam, they were addressed immediately. We would definitely book with this company again and have recommended it to friends looking for a new adventure.

Response from the operator: Dear Melissa, Thank you so much for your fantastic review! We’re thrilled to hear that you had an excellent experience with us and that Éllie was able to provide you with the communication and support you needed throughout your journey. We'll be sure to pass on your kind words to her! It’s great to know that you felt well taken care of by our guides and appreciated the balance of main attractions and local experiences in your tour. We strive to address any concerns promptly, and we're glad that you felt supported during your time in Vietnam. Thank you for recommending us to your friends! We would love to welcome you back for another adventure in the future. Realistic Asia team

ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE

This was my first trip to Asia, and booking through this company was the best thing I could’ve done! Dat made it so easy for us and took care of everything! You definitely get your money’s worth for this trip- the hotels are beautiful, we had private tours everywhere we went, the food was delicious, and our guides were extraordinary! I would recommend this tour to anyone and everyone! Thank you to everyone who made our trip unforgettable 💕

Response from the operator: Dear Samanthahelen31, It’s glad to hear that you enjoyed our trip, from hotels to tours and other services included as well organized by your trip. The compliments from travellers are always our motivation to enhance our service. We and Dat hope to have the opportunity to welcome you and your beloved in a near future. Great experience with Realistic Asia and our travel agent, Dat!

Hi everyone, My family and I booked a two week trip with Realistic Asia and our very attentive tour agent was Dat. From the beginning of planning our trip, we were in constant communication with Dat. He provided us with a lot of information to help plan our trip. We had very specific requests for our trip and Dat helped us book our custom planned trip. With 14 days, we were able to enjoy Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand and Singapore. Any request we had, Dat worked very hard to accommodate our requests. I have him a sample itinerary and he was able to not only match that itinerary, but enhance it by making his own recommendations which made our trip even better! Our flights were booked accordingly to maximize our time in each city we visited. Our international flight was booked with Korean Air and we enjoyed their service. Our airport pick up and drop off went off without a hitch. All of our tour guides were exceptional, including our time spent on Glory Cruise on Halong Bay. The pre-booked meals were delicious, and we were more than happy with our upgraded hotels. We had a minor issue with one of our tours in Phuket and when I notified Dat of this issue, not only did he respond right away, he rectified the situation and made our trip even better! I would highly recommend Realistic Asia to everyone! Dat and his team offer exceptional service at a great price. They go far and beyond to ensure that their clients receive exceptional service. When I revisit SE Asia, I will definitely book through Realistic Asia and Dat!

Response from the operator: Dear Praneetha M, Thanks for your nice comments. As a local agent, we will always try our best to create a suitable customized trip for travellers. We and Dat, our travel consultant are so pleased to hear that you enjoyed our trip, from hotels to tours and other services included as well organized by your trip. About your issue in Phuket, we hope that our solution could minimize the inconvenience that you bumped into during your trip. We are looking forward to more opportunities to welcome you to further lands and bring more unforgettable memories. Best regards, Realistic Asia Team.

Vietnam's Hidden Treasure: Off-The-Beaten-Path In 9 Days: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hanoi.

How much does Vietnam's Hidden Treasure: Off-The-Beaten-Path In 9 Days cost?

+

Prices start at $196 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hanoi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Vietnam's Hidden Treasure: Off-The-Beaten-Path In 9 Days take?

+

Plan for about 216 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hanoi is not rushed.

Is Vietnam's Hidden Treasure: Off-The-Beaten-Path In 9 Days worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable family friendly in Hanoi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Vietnam's Hidden Treasure: Off-The-Beaten-Path In 9 Days?

+

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Vietnam's Hidden Treasure: Off-The-Beaten-Path In 9 Days suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 216-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Vietnam's Hidden Treasure: Off-The-Beaten-Path In 9 Days?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hanoi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hanoi and add a light layer if any part of the 216-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Vietnam's Hidden Treasure: Off-The-Beaten-Path In 9 Days start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hanoi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Hanoi?

+

On Outty we rank every Hanoi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Ninh Binh Day Trip from Hanoi with Tam Coc or Trang An & Mua Cave, Ha Giang Loop Tour 4 Days 3 Nights with Ha Giang Vision Tour, Halong Bay Day Tour With Titop Island, Cave, Kayak & Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Hanoi?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Hanoi?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
