We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Hector. He took us all over and took us to a cute restaurant at the end of the tour for a delicious lunch where we had our first schnitzel. We walked a lot! Highly recommend!

Great way to learn Vienna
Anna gave a great historical tour of old town Vienna. Pace was good and covered a lot of sites. Wished we could have gone through more of Schönbrunn.

Best
We enjoyed this walking tour of Vienna. We saw different places of interest. Anna was excellent. She was engaging, energetic and knowledgeable. We learned a lot from her sharing. An added experience was riding the Subway (U-Bahn) to go to Schönbrunn Palace. The tour duration was just right. We did not feel rushed. Communications were good. Anna sent us a WhatsApp message the day before the tour to confirm everything. We were glad to have booked this tour.

Worst of the four tours on European trip
We usually really love Viator tours (though hate their App- more on that later). This was the only one of the four tours we did on this European swing which we didn't rate 5 stars. The guide was soft spoken and occasionally difficult to understand. The Shonbrunn is a big nothing (not her fault, it's what we booked). A series of rooms with out of focus TikTok type videos depicting the history of the place. It was big but otherwise not impressive and not worth the time it took to get there. Biggest knock on this booking was the failure to show us all the promised places. The following is a list of all the places we were supposed to visit but didn't see: Denkmal der Opfer des Faschismus (memorial in opposition to fascism in WWII), Stadttempel (oldest surviving synagogue), Mozart Wohnhaus, Hoher Market (also home to the Ankeruhr Clock, which we were very interested in seeing). So, at least four promised sites skipped. This was also the 2nd most expensive tour we did and felt it was not worth the $600+ dollars. We tipped out of guilt but were very sorry in retrospect, especially when we went back and reviewed what we had missed. Now for the App review (not the guides fault). Two of the four tours we had to call to get the ticket released to us. One of the tours said the credit card wasn't valid, though we had used the same card on the other three bookings. The App kept showing I had nothing booked, though we had four tours arranged. It also showed we had multiple messages, but when we clicked on that icon no messages appeared.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback. Our guide made every effort to follow the advertised itinerary; however, the group’s walking pace was considerably slower than expected. As the tour included pre-booked, timed-entry tickets to Schönbrunn Palace, some walking-tour stops had to be shortened or omitted to ensure the guests arrived on time and did not lose their reserved admission. Regarding the comments about Schönbrunn itself, these reflect a personal opinion about the attraction rather than the service provided by our guide. We would also like to clarify that Local CoolTour is the tour supplier, not the operator of the Viator platform. Issues regarding the Viator app, ticket release, payment processing, bookings not appearing, or messages not displaying are managed directly by Viator and are unfortunately outside our control.

Vienna: Private Full-Day Tour with Schönbrunn, Hofburg and Lunch: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Vienna.
How much does Vienna: Private Full-Day Tour with Schönbrunn, Hofburg and Lunch cost?
+
Prices start at $300 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Vienna usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Vienna: Private Full-Day Tour with Schönbrunn, Hofburg and Lunch take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Vienna is not rushed.
Is Vienna: Private Full-Day Tour with Schönbrunn, Hofburg and Lunch worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 42 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Vienna, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Vienna: Private Full-Day Tour with Schönbrunn, Hofburg and Lunch?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Vienna: Private Full-Day Tour with Schönbrunn, Hofburg and Lunch suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Vienna: Private Full-Day Tour with Schönbrunn, Hofburg and Lunch?
+
Around 15 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Vienna can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Vienna and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Vienna: Private Full-Day Tour with Schönbrunn, Hofburg and Lunch start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Vienna within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Vienna?
+
On Outty we rank every Vienna experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Vienna Food Tour: Coffeehouses, Markets, Lunch & Street Food, Authentic Vienna Food Tour inc. lunch, street food, 3 drinks, Best of Vienna : Historic Center Walking Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Vienna?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Vienna?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
