    Do not book this!

We found this tour to be way too expensive for what was provided! Our guide arrived delayed and did not seem like an expert in history, he did not answer some of the questions we asked. It seems like he avoided to answer because he did not know the information. For the price we paid, it was not worth it!

Response from the operator: Dear Reviewer, Thank you for sharing your feedback. However, we kindly wish to clarify that we have never received a booking under your name, nor have we provided you with this tour. It seems this review may have been posted to the wrong company by mistake. We always take guest feedback seriously, and we pride ourselves on working only with professional, licensed guides who are punctual and knowledgeable. If you intended to review another operator, we kindly ask you to double-check your booking details and update the review accordingly. Thank you for your understanding. Kind regards,

Absolute Private Guided city walks Vienna

Elizabeth did the tour for Absolute private walking tours this am. Her English skills were excellent. She is very knowledgeable and was able to show us around Vienna city center showing us many nightlights and had many suggestions for places to eat and the different museums. We would highly recommend this tour for first timers to Vienna. We also appreciated that the group size was very manageable not like some we saw.

Her passion for the city truly shines through, and we're glad you found her insights and recommendations helpful. Overall, this was a good...

Overall, this was a good tour with lots of interesting information about Vienna. Our guide was very outgoing, somewhat brash, but knew her stuff. On the negative side, it was a very expensive tour. Our tour was 3 hours, we received a small package of candy each, but had to buy our own coffee. In comparison, our Prague tour was 6 hours, included a tram ride, a 45 minute boat ride & a full lunch & was half the price.

Disappointing tour guide in one of the most beautiful city in the world !

Unfortunately not the best tour guide experience we had…beautiful city but the guide didn’t meet my wife and my expectations when it comes to providing us some true historical background. We were also disappointed not to visit any inside buildings. Not to mention some historical mistakes regarding some dates

Vienna Highlights: Private Guided Walking Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Vienna.

How much does Vienna Highlights: Private Guided Walking Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $33 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Vienna usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Vienna Highlights: Private Guided Walking Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Vienna is not rushed.

Is Vienna Highlights: Private Guided Walking Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 50 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.1/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Vienna, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Vienna Highlights: Private Guided Walking Tour?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Vienna Highlights: Private Guided Walking Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Vienna Highlights: Private Guided Walking Tour?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Vienna can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Vienna and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Vienna Highlights: Private Guided Walking Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Vienna within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Vienna?

    +

On Outty we rank every Vienna experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Authentic Vienna Food Tour inc. lunch, street food, 3 drinks, Vienna Food Tour: Coffeehouses, Markets, Lunch & Street Food, Budapest Small-Group Day Trip from Vienna. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Vienna?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Vienna?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
