Wonderful and worth it!
Every part of this experience was fabulous. Man on was the main guide and coordinator, and she was great! Lunch at the Michelin-starred restaurant with views of the Gardens was relaxing and delicious. The tour of the castle was very informative and not too long. Francesca was our guide, and she was great at telling the stories about the kings and queens who lived there. Horseback riding in the Gardens was breathtaking. This was worth every Euro!
Response from the operator: Dear Brooke, Thank you for your wonderful review! We are very pleased to hear that you enjoyed your day trip to Versailles. Thank you very much for your kind words about our guides Manon and Francesca, we will make sure to pass them along :) We look forward to welcoming you on a ride again! Highly Recommended Phenomenal VIP Luxury Tour Experience
Our experience with Nomad Riders was exceptional. From the first email communication to the return at our hotel lobby in Paris at the end of our tour, we were met with nothing but stellar professionalism and top tier hospitality services. I felt that from the start of the day, I had nothing to do but sit back and enjoy the experience unfolding for us. (As the logistics coordinator for the family- this in itself is worth it's weight in gold!) Everything was thought of and taken care of. We were met in the lobby of our hotel in Paris right on time, and had a smooth and comfortable ride to Versailles. We went directly to a spot amongst the gardens that had a trailer and horses tacked up and ready to go. Within a few minutes of arriving, we were already on horseback. Our guide was so lovely as we spent 2 hours in what felt like traveling back in time and being in a movie and just having the most surreal experience all at the same time. We cantered through fairways and walked through knee high flowers, and explored a huge area that turned out to be just a tiny fraction of the grounds. Immediately upon on return to the trailer area, our driver was waiting to whisk us off to an unforgettable modern 18th century brunch at the Michelin- starred Arielles Château de Versailles by Chef Alain Ducasse. Our dietary preferences of gluten-free and plant-based were not a problem in the slightest. We missed out on "the cheese course", but every other course was served with delightful options that were not only delicious, but served so incredibly beautifully and with such care- the experience around the food itself was just as magnificent. As soon as we were finished with our meal, our car as waiting at the front to bring us to the front entrance of the château, where someone was already standing the line with our tickets for the tour. There was no waiting or wondering where to go, and amongst the long lines and swaths of people there, this was one of those little touches that was really appreciated. Obviously, the Château and surrounding area is beyond describable words- and that part of the experience was wonderful. (So much so, that my next trip to the Paris area will include a few days in Versailles.) As soon as our tour of the château ended, our car was ready for us front and center- again , no walking, no lines, door to door service throughout. I truly felt so taken care of throughout this experience and all it's activities. I didn't have to think about anything- I just got to enjoy. I would HIGHLY recommend Nomad Riders to anyone and everyone that values incredible equestrian experiences. I've been inspired to take on more adventures with Rita and her fantastic team. Thank you Rita and Co. at Nomad Riders for one of the most unforgettable days I've ever had.

Why this scores 47
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Versailles Private Tour : Horse-riding, Gastronomy & the Palace: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Paris.
How much does Versailles Private Tour : Horse-riding, Gastronomy & the Palace cost?
+
Prices start at $3081 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Paris usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Versailles Private Tour : Horse-riding, Gastronomy & the Palace take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Paris is not rushed.
Is Versailles Private Tour : Horse-riding, Gastronomy & the Palace worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 47 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Paris, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Versailles Private Tour : Horse-riding, Gastronomy & the Palace?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Versailles Private Tour : Horse-riding, Gastronomy & the Palace suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Versailles Private Tour : Horse-riding, Gastronomy & the Palace?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Paris can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Paris and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Versailles Private Tour : Horse-riding, Gastronomy & the Palace start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Paris within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Paris?
+
Paris rewards travelers who book ahead. The headline museums sell timed entry weeks out, the best food walks cap at eight people, and the Seine cruises that are worth doing are the ones that leave after sunset. Everything below is scored by the Outty Ranking so you can tell a genuine local favorite from a coach-tour filler in a single glance. On Outty we rank every Paris experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Louvre Museum Essential Guided Tour Semi Private 6 GUESTS MAX, Louvre Museum Premium Guided Tour 6 GUESTS MAX Entry Included, Paris City Center Free Walking Tour (Tip-Based). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Paris?
+
April to June and September to October, when queues thin out and terraces stay open late. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Paris?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
