Great service, flexible schedule
They were quick to reply to my questions and gave a great offer for two minivans. The payment method was also very smooth. The drivers were really friendly and punctual, waiting outside of the cruise terminal with our group leaders name. They were easy to get in contact with via whatsapp and arrived on time to take us back to the port. We did want to do extra sightseeing nearby the Le Havre port after our tour of the Palace of Versailles, however, even though we shortened our time at the site, we were very exhausted and wanted to get back and we arrived with a lot of time to spare if we did decide to venture nearby the ship. Would definitely recommend for large groups who want to visit the Palace for a bargain from the cruise port!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind and detailed feedback. We’re delighted to hear that you were happy with our prompt communication, smooth payment process, and the service provided by our friendly and punctual drivers. We completely understand how a full day at Versailles can be both inspiring and tiring, and we’re glad you had the flexibility to return to the port with time to spare. Your recommendation means a lot to us, and we truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. We would be happy to welcome you again in the future for another visit to Normandy or beyond.

Worth the Trip
Friendly, courteous driver got us to our scheduled guided tour in plenty of time. Even bought us "french" Croissants for the long drive from the pier. Versailles Palace is a magnificent palace with beautiful painted ceilings and tapestries. Highly recommend spending the day there. High praise to our Driver who was very accommodating, pleasant and knowledgeable.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your wonderful review Susan! We’re delighted to hear that your driver Ilyes made the journey enjoyable and that you appreciated the thoughtful touch of the croissants. Versailles is truly a magnificent place, and we’re glad you had plenty of time to explore its beauty. We’ll be sure to pass along your high praise to your driver for being accommodating, pleasant, and knowledgeable. Thank you for your recommendation, and we hope to welcome you back for another memorable experience!

Versailles palace tour
Amazing barely describes it. I heard it would approach a billion dollars to replicate this today. Every room is a masterpiece. The artwork and decor is one of a kind. Important: we have been twice at different times of the year. Do not just show up. Go with a tour or a reservation. The general admittance line will be 90 minutes plus. Highly recommend going. Very easy train ride from Paris then walk to Versailles.

Gardens away the best
I went with a friend to the Palace of Versailles, we arrived by metro, train and bus xq el rer was closed that day. We didn’t buy tickets before, but it didn’t matter because the line to get in was so long that while one lined up, the other was x the tickets. The line lasted about 2 hours, then inside the palace was too full, it was horrible. The Palace beautiful, but I would have liked more rooms set of the time. Then we went to the gardens, which was by far the most beautiful part, and to the Palace of Marie Antoinette, which is also worth it. A good tip, is to enter the gardens first, walk quietly, have lunch and then at the end move to the palace, you do not need more than an hour and in the afternoon, type 5 is empty. I wasn't able to get in again xq was exhausted, but if it was again I would reverse order.

Extremely Crowded and Disorganised
We pre-purchased tickets and waited in line for almost two hours. Once we got in, we were in a massive group of people, with hundreds behind us. There was no time to stop and enjoy the palace. People were constantly pushing behind you. Every other place we went had time stamps, in order to keep the crowds manageable. Whoever manages Versailles, is doing an extremely lousy job of it. I would not recommend it. There are many other amazing sites to see.
Response from the operator: Hi Stacey, Greetings from Normandy! Thank you for extending your time to write a review. We regret that your expectations for the Versailles Palace were not met. Nonetheless, we wish that our company has been of great service during your transit from and to Le Havre Cruise Terminal. We wish you a pleasant journey ahead and we are at your full disposal should be in Normandy again! Best Regards, Team Normandy Excursions by Navette Plus

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Le Havre.
How much does Versailles from Le Havre | Private Roundtrip Transfer cost?
+
Prices start at $899 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Le Havre usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Versailles from Le Havre | Private Roundtrip Transfer take?
+
Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Le Havre is not rushed.
Is Versailles from Le Havre | Private Roundtrip Transfer worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.2/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Le Havre, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Versailles from Le Havre | Private Roundtrip Transfer?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Versailles from Le Havre | Private Roundtrip Transfer suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 9-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Versailles from Le Havre | Private Roundtrip Transfer?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Le Havre can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Le Havre and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Versailles from Le Havre | Private Roundtrip Transfer start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Le Havre within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Le Havre?
+
On Outty we rank every Le Havre experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include D-Day Beaches Shore Excursion from Le Havre with Packed Lunch, Normandy UNESCO D-Day Beaches Tour & Packed Lunch from Le Havre, Deluxe Paris Shore Trip from Le Havre with Cruise & Packed Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Le Havre?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Le Havre?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
