Extremely Disappointing Experience – Would Not Recommend
Extremely Disappointing Experience – Would Not Recommend Unfortunately, this tour was a major disappointment from beginning to end. First, the start time was changed at the last minute, disrupting plans we had already made around the original tour time. We were then instructed to arrive at the office 15 minutes early to pick up our tickets. We did exactly that, only to be told to wait outside for the guide. It was nearly 100 degrees, and rather than allowing paying customers to wait inside, a staff member actually yelled at us to stay outside in the heat. That alone was an unacceptable way to treat customers. Unfortunately, the tour itself did not improve the experience. Our guide’s English was very difficult to understand, which made following the information challenging. Even more frustrating, the guide spent an excessive amount of time belaboring certain points while our group stood in the direct sun and extreme heat. There seemed to be very little consideration for the comfort of the people on the tour or any effort to move discussions into shaded areas when possible. I had toured the Vatican previously, so I had something to compare this experience with. Several important and memorable parts of my previous tour were skipped entirely, while an extraordinary amount of time was spent discussing less significant points. I understand that Vivicos cannot control the weather or the crowds at the Vatican. They absolutely can control how customers are treated, whether guests are unnecessarily kept standing outside in extreme heat, the quality and communication skills of the guides they provide, and how thoughtfully the tour is organized. For the price and the significance of visiting the Vatican, I expected a professional, well-organized and informative experience. This was none of those things. I would not book with Vivicos again and cannot recommend them.

Failed visit to St. Peter basilica
The so called skip the line for St. Peter basilica was a joke ... The people from the gate would not allow us in saying the ticket is NOT the real one. We could not visit the monument for which we paid! When I called the number Vivicos has provided and I explained the issue, they hanged up the phone. So, too bad I could not rate -10. I would not use they services even if they would pay me!!!

Save €80 and book yourself for the same experience
Vivicos just seem to resell official guided tours which are available directly from the vatican museums websites for around €20. All Vivicous do is package this together with a €7 skip the line ticket to the Basilica which, again, you can buy yourself and then a representative walks you to the museums and through security. For this privallage we paid €105 per person. I booked through GetYourGuide where their profile has a photo of a Vivicos guide. I felt this suggested this was a private tour rather than a cheaper Vatican one. I wanted to book a private tour as those have direct access to the Basilica from the museum. Because ours wasn't actually a private tour, we had to leave the museums and re-enter the Basilica going through more security and queuing again. They moved our tour from 8am to 8:30am two days before due to "operational reasons". On the day we arrived at the Vivicous office/meeting point. We were given a sticker and told to wait outside on the street. We were here until around 9am when a Vivicos representative called out our names and walked us the 10 minutes to the entry point. After security we were passed to the official Vatican guide who, as others have said, was very good. The tour itself lasted 2 hours , not 3 as advertised on GetYourGuide. Annoyingly they booked our Basilica ticket for 12pm which meant we didn't have any time to go back into the museum after our tour had ended which we wanted to so because the tour is quite rushed. I've written to GetYourGuide guide as, rather suspiciously, all the reviews for Vivicos on their platform are 5 stars. My advice would be to just book a tour via the Vatican website. You'll have the same experience for about €80 less.
