The UPPERMASTANG WITH SURYA !! Global Holidays
Driving my Thar all the way from Delhi to Lo Manthang and back was not just a road trip — it became one of the most memorable journeys of my life, and a huge credit for its success goes to Mr. Surya, owner of Global Holidays Adventure Pvt. Ltd.. From the very beginning, Surya handled every piece of paperwork and coordination with incredible efficiency. In remote destinations like Lete, Lo Manthang, Pokhara, and Lumbini, he ensured we stayed at some of the best possible hotels available in the region. What stood out most was his availability — every phone call was answered, every route confusion was solved, and every itinerary adjustment was smoothly managed, including helping us secure hotel refunds wherever needed. The Tiji Festival experience at Upper Mustang became extraordinary because of his planning and local network. He arranged an excellent local guide, Bhumi, who took us beyond regular tourism — exploring ancient caves, visiting nomad settlements before sunrise to witness yaks in their natural habitat, and helping us discover authentic local treasures including beautiful Saligram stones and premium Nepali pulses. Travelling through the rugged terrains of Mustang requires someone dependable on the ground, and Surya proved to be exactly that. Calm, resourceful, and deeply connected with the region, he works tirelessly to make every traveller’s expedition seamless and unforgettable. For anyone planning a road expedition or cultural journey across Nepal, I can confidently say that you are in safe hands with Mr. Surya and his team. — Manoj

A trip to lift you to the top of world!
A heartfelt thank you to Mr. Surya, owner of Global Holidays Adventure Pvt. Ltd., for making our Nepal excursion truly unforgettable. From sourcing some of the best hotels across Lete, Lo Manthang, Pokhara, and Lumbini, to being available on every phone call without fail, his professionalism and dedication were exceptional throughout the journey. Any last-minute itinerary changes were handled smoothly, and he even helped coordinate hotel refunds wherever required. Our Tiji Festival experience became a grand success because of his meticulous planning and constant support. He also connected us with an excellent guide, Bhumi, who took us deep into authentic experiences — from early morning visits to nomad villages to witness yaks in their natural surroundings, to exploring ancient caves of Mustang. Thanks to their guidance, we were also able to purchase authentic Saligram stones and some of the finest Nepali pulses directly from trusted local sources. Mr. Surya is a true professional who genuinely works to make every traveller’s journey meaningful, comfortable, and memorable. Highly recommended for anyone planning an immersive Nepal adventure.

Excellent, professional service
I have enlisted the help of this wonderful trekking agency twice for my Upper Mustang treks. Surya Bahadur Thapa sir is professional, helpful, clear, and prompt in his communications via WhatsApp. He and his team handled the whole booking and permit process masterfully and seamlessly. You are in nice, capable hands with this agency! Upper Mustang is well worth it to see such a fascinating and alluring place that is geologically, culturally, linguistically, and religiously a mini Tibet!

Jeep trip to the land that time forgot
We booked a 7 day, 6 night Upper Mustang private jeep trip, starting from Pokhara, with Pema as our guide. He is from Lo Manthang, which meant that he was really knowledgeable about the area, knew absolutely everyone and provided insights and snippets of information that went beyond the standard guiding experience. We couldn't have asked for a better or more helpful guide. Our driver, Monkol, was excellent and we never felt scared, even on some of the post- landslide tracks around the mountain edges! The Upper Mustang is one of the most extraordinary places we have ever visited and we are widely travelled. It is best described as the back of beyond meets the top of the world. The landscapes are harsh, timeless and absolutely sensational and the villages seem mostly unchanged for centuries. Highlights were the Chhoser caves, the Tsarang summer palace, Lo Manthang. Marpha and Muktinath were also interesting. There are, of course, downsides. We stayed in the best available places. However, there were few tourists at the beginning of November, so the lodges were fairly empty (apart from Lo Manthang), open to the elements and the communal area fires/ heaters were not lit. Living in a tropical country, we found the cold seeped into our bones. Although some places had hot(ish) water, we gave up showering as it was too cold when we got out! Most places did provide electric blankets, so sleeping was no problem. It was just the time between lodge arrival and bed. On the return toward Pokhara we continued further than intended, to Tatopani. The proposed lodge was full, so we upgraded to the big, glitzy hotel, which was warm, had hot water and more choice of food. Not the sort of place we would normally choose, but greatly appreciated on this occasion. We went "dry" until the last night, drank loads of water and had no altitude problems (we are 70 and 66). It is not the most luxurious or comfortable trip, but absolutely worth doing if you have an adventurous spirit.

Why this scores 67
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Upper Mustang 4WD Jeep Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Pokhara.
How much does Upper Mustang 4WD Jeep Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $3450 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Pokhara usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Upper Mustang 4WD Jeep Tour take?
+
Plan for about 264 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Pokhara is not rushed.
Is Upper Mustang 4WD Jeep Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 19 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Pokhara, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Upper Mustang 4WD Jeep Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Upper Mustang 4WD Jeep Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 264-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Upper Mustang 4WD Jeep Tour?
+
Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Pokhara can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Pokhara and add a light layer if any part of the 264-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Upper Mustang 4WD Jeep Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Pokhara within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Pokhara?
+
On Outty we rank every Pokhara experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Ghorepani - Poon Hill Trek 3N-4D, Annapurna Base Camp Trek -8 days, Annapurna Base Camp Treks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Pokhara?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Pokhara?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
