Not my favourite Bali tour

Our tour guide was great, really informative and friendly... but I didn’t love the places we visited. The highlight for me was visiting Monkey Forest, loved that part! The Kecak Dance wasn’t enjoyable to watch, we left before it finished. I was expecting more of a fire dance but it was just walking on coals at the end of the performance. The singing/chanting throughout isn’t nice, it was annoying. I feel bad saying that because I understand it’s a traditional thing, but I couldn’t wait for it to be over. We were also swarmed by moths that were attracted to the lights. We skipped the dinner because we were staying in Ubud and would have gotten back very late.

Good night, bad dinner

The temple was very interesting, and Dewa showed us all around the grounds and explained things to us. Obviously, because the temple is still used for worshiping, you’re not allowed to actually enter it but it is still beautiful nonetheless. You do have to dress appropriately, and if you are not wearing long enough pants you’ll have to wear a sarong and belt. The Kecak dance was very cool and interesting. The night would’ve been totally perfect as Dewa is a great tour guide, however the restaurant we went to for dinner it was absolutely awful. It was a shame, since it was on the beach.

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Seminyak?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Seminyak?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
