    A good time

Colin is very knowledgeable about pirates and the geopolitics of the time period. He can be a bit dry at times but it was still a very fun tour.

Response from the operator: Thank you I’m so glad that you liked your tour with Colin! Safe travels sincerely Lisa

    Hooked on History:Swashbuckling Good Time!

Excellent experience. Our guide reached out in advance gave many helpful tips to help with parking, locating and generally what to expect. Even tips for how to be prepared on a hot June day. Our Pirate was considerate choosing shady spots wherever reasonable to stop and share interesting history. Also we had family member with mobility scooter and Collin made a point to manage pace, check in and even made sure we passed public restroom. This was a high value addition to our Colonial Williamsburg living history experience and certainly recommend others add this to the list of things ga to do while nearby.

Response from the operator: Wow, what a wonderful five star review! We really appreciate how much you enjoyed Collin and the Ultimate Pirate Tour. We would love to have you on one of our other tours. Safe travels sincerely Lisa.

    Don’t bother

This tour was nothing about Williamsburg. A total waist of time and money . If you want a tour about the purest and the Caribbean. It my be for you but their is nothing about American colonialisms.

Response from the operator: Sorry I do not see your name on any bookings on Collins tour I went through all of August and there’s nothing with your name on the booking ,but as you can see by Collin‘s many other five star reviews that’s all he ever gets. He has never gotten a one star review people thoroughly enjoy his piracy and his knowledge and history of pirates and he tells a lot about Williamsburg and about William and Mary And our structure of money because of the pirates and he talks about Blackbeard in his crew because Blackbeard’s crew was brought here and hon. Sincerely, Lisa and Chris.

Get a new understanding of pirates!

Our pirate guide Colin was excellent. He contacted us the day before the tour and gave us detailed information on where to park and meet for the tour. He was easy to spot when we arrived at our meeting point. He had quite an elaborate pirate costume so we had no doubt that we had found him. We were a small group (2 adults and 2 children aged 7 and 9). I would suggest this for kids a bit older than our grandchildren. The 9 year old payed attention (most of the time) and remembered quite a bit when quizzed after the tour. It was over our 7 year olds head for the most part. On the other hand, we were impressed with the wealth of information Colin provided and learned a great deal about the history of pirates in the Virginia area. I would definitely recommend this tour for anyone interested in history. You will leave with a different perspective of the pirates of colonial Williamsburg. Wonderful tour!

Response from the operator: Thank you so very much for the awesome five star review! We are so glad you loved your tour with Collin. He definitely knows his piracy. He is a pirate at heart straight from England! Safe travels. We would love to have you on one of our other many tours check us out. Sincerely, Lisa.

Ultimate Pirate Walking Tour in Colonial Williamsburg: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Williamsburg.

How much does Ultimate Pirate Walking Tour in Colonial Williamsburg cost?

    +

Prices start at $25 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Williamsburg usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Ultimate Pirate Walking Tour in Colonial Williamsburg take?

    +

Plan for about 1.8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Williamsburg is not rushed.

Is Ultimate Pirate Walking Tour in Colonial Williamsburg worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 76 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 42 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Williamsburg, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Ultimate Pirate Walking Tour in Colonial Williamsburg?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Ultimate Pirate Walking Tour in Colonial Williamsburg suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Ultimate Pirate Walking Tour in Colonial Williamsburg?

    +

Around 15 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Williamsburg can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Williamsburg and add a light layer if any part of the 1.8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Ultimate Pirate Walking Tour in Colonial Williamsburg start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Williamsburg within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Williamsburg?

    +

Williamsburg centres on Colonial Williamsburg passes, Jamestown and Yorktown history tours, lantern-lit ghost walks and theme park tickets a few minutes away. On Outty we rank every Williamsburg experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full Day Historic Guided Tour to Jamestown and Yorktown with Lunch, Magic Happens at The Wagsters Magic Theatre, Williamsburg Ghosts, Witches and Pirates Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Williamsburg?

    +

April to June and September to October. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Williamsburg?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
