    Just an okay experience

Unfortunately I cannot rate this. The tour company put us on a different tour to Tulum. The Tulum tour was okay but not what I had paid for. Waiting on refund from Cancun xperience since Tulum was cheaper tour and they promised to pay me back the difference. Request to tour company to kindly refund the difference. Jesus was nice driver, Julian guide and bus driver were good. It is not their fault but companies fault to mess up our actual tour.

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the mix-up that occurred during your tour. We appreciate your kind words about Jesus, Julian, and the bus driver. They strive to provide a positive experience, and we’re glad their efforts stood out to you, despite the situation.

    Valuable experience, great tour

We had a great time. Serge was an incredible and very knowledgeable tour guide. We learned so much about the Mayan culture. Incredible! The drive is long (2.5 hours from Puerto Adventuras, where we are staying), and we would have liked a little more time at Chichen-Itza. There was SO much more to see than we expected. Part of what made the drive so long was picking up and dropping off other parties. If we ever find ourselves back here, we will rent a car and go back. But the tour is a great starting place because of all the additional information.

    Great Tour Guide

The tour guide, Gaby, and the actual tour was excellent. The only things I would change are: there is no AC in the back of the bus (assigned seating) and it took us four hours to even get to Chichen Itza. We spent the first two hours picking people up and being transported to a bus that then took another two hours to get there. Other than those two things, the tour itself was pretty good!

Response from the operator: Dear Victoria_W, Thanks for leaving a review about our Chichen-Itza Cenote Swim & Valladolid Tour. We appreciate your feedback and we'll use it to better our service. We are glad that you had an excellent tour along with Gaby, she is a master of their craft. In regards of the transportation time, we know It might seem like a long time to get from your hotel to the ruins, this being a shared tour we must make different stops to gather everyone. We are sorry about the AC situation, it has been handled. Thanks again for your kind review and hope to see you back again soon! The Travel Experience Group.

Ultimate Chichen-Itza Cenote Swim & Valladolid from Cancun: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tulum.

How much does Ultimate Chichen-Itza Cenote Swim & Valladolid from Cancun cost?

    +

Prices start at $69 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tulum usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Ultimate Chichen-Itza Cenote Swim & Valladolid from Cancun take?

    +

Plan for about 12 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tulum is not rushed.

Is Ultimate Chichen-Itza Cenote Swim & Valladolid from Cancun worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tulum, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Ultimate Chichen-Itza Cenote Swim & Valladolid from Cancun?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Ultimate Chichen-Itza Cenote Swim & Valladolid from Cancun suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 12-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Ultimate Chichen-Itza Cenote Swim & Valladolid from Cancun?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tulum can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tulum and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Ultimate Chichen-Itza Cenote Swim & Valladolid from Cancun start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tulum within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Tulum?

    +

On Outty we rank every Tulum experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Tulum Ruins, Turtles in Akumal and Cenote tour, Tulum Guided Tour, Magical Cenote, Lagoon Snorkeling and Beachside Lunch, Chichén Itzá, Cenote and Valladolid with Lunch and transportation. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Tulum?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Tulum?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
