Morning Athenian Summer Hike
I had such a lovely time on this uniquely curated excursion by George! I come from San Francisco, so it was cool to learn that Athens also had some great hill hikes to get amazing views of the city! George was also very knowledgeable and considerate of our comfort during the heat. We started promptly at 8am which was perfect for a summer day in July. Would recommend this hike to anyone who would like a more off the beaten path experience, as well as something that feels like a solid exercise before your next Greek meal :"P!

The best views in Athens
A great afternoon / evening seeing a different side of Athens, with spectacular views. I met George, a local Athenian who grew up in Australia that guided us through local upscale neighbourhoods and up a hiking track that only locals would know about to one of the best view sights over Athens and the pantheon. The hike wasn’t too strenuous but it does get the blood pumping to burn off the yiros and delicious food. Then you walk past the changing of the guards and through a beautiful garden and finishing up on another great view spot for sunset. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to see a different side of Athens, with great photo opportunities and a friendly local that can give you interesting facts, history and local recommendations whilst in Athens

The best!
George is an incredible guide. His knowledge is outstanding and we had the most amazing experience with him. He is so friendly and accommodating. 100% recommend!

Superb Hike!
George is an amazing guide! First, all of the basics were perfectly delivered: punctuality, communication, and value. Second, George tailored the hike to my pace, pointing out the best spots for photos and highlighting the history along the way. We enjoyed pleasant and diverse conversation as we went. George hosts a wonderful way to see Athens, all while burning several hundred calories! I highly recommend!!

Unforgettable experience. Would definitely be going again, and couldn't recommend more.
This was one of my best (and most unique) experiences in Athens. George was a great tour guide, taking us on two of the most gorgeous hilltop views of the city. These places weren't touristy, so we got a very clear view of the sea, and all of the landmarks within Athens. He provided an extremely clear explanation of the context and history behind each landmark, with a hint of humour that made the trip all that much better. His knowledge of the city was unmatched, and he provided fantastic recommendations for food, clubs, and other places to visit. I have done many walking tours in Europe (and Athens), and I have to say this one was the most unique. The climbs were relatively easy as well, no physical or athletic background required. If I were to come back to Athens, I would do this trek again. Truly an unforgettable experience that will set the tone for the rest of your trip. Couldn't recommend more.

Why this scores 74
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Ultimate Athens Hills Climb!: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Athens.
How much does Ultimate Athens Hills Climb! cost?
+
Prices start at $13 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Athens usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Ultimate Athens Hills Climb! take?
+
Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Athens is not rushed.
Is Ultimate Athens Hills Climb! worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 74 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 23 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Athens, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Ultimate Athens Hills Climb!?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Ultimate Athens Hills Climb! suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 2.5-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Ultimate Athens Hills Climb!?
+
Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Athens can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Athens and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Ultimate Athens Hills Climb! start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Athens within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Athens?
+
On Outty we rank every Athens experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Athens Small Group E-Bike Tour, Small Group Greek Traditional Food Tour in Athens 20+ Tastings, Athens Scenic Bike Tour with Regular or Electric Bike + Acropolis. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Athens?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Athens?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
